Three hours later, Gwen finally had some downtime, only to find that Rena had called her four times.

She called back and asked, “Rena, what’s up?”

Rena replied, “I initially wanted to ask about your progress with KING, but you didn’t pick up Just now, the party organizers asked if we needed them to provide gowns, and I said no, your gown was personally designed by KING. They were pretty gobsmacked, even said they’d give you more camera time!”

On hearing this, Gwen frowned. “I haven’t even reached out to KING yet, why on earth did you put that out there?”

Rena explained, “Didn’t you mention your friend is a designer at Snowy Studios? She could lend a hand, right?”

Gwen looked miffed, “Rena, could you please check with me before making decisions next time!”

Rena knew she messed up and didn’t dare to say more, only asking, “What do we do now? The party organizers might use this for publicity, and the press will definitely ask about it”

Darcey brought over a glass of water just as Gwen was feeling agitated. Gwen shoved the glass away, snapping at Rena, “I’ll figure something out!”

After hanging up, Gwen immediately called Rena and told her the problem was solved.

Upon hearing her solution, Rena lavished praise, “Gwen, you’re always the problem–solver! Even the haughty Harriet had to give in to you! Not only are you beautiful, you’re also very smart!”

Gwen listened to Rena’s enthusiastic praise with a smile, feeling rather pleased.

And so, the next day, Harriet sent over the gown to Gwen’s agent.

That night, after getting off work, Gwen immediately tried on the gown.
