Chapter 106 

Estelle’s voice trembled, “How many in a box?” 

The man thought about it seriously, “About fifty cases.” 

Estelle’s face showed more shock than embarrassment, “How did you pass the checkout counter?” 

Did the cashier look at him like a weirdo? 

Jonathan frowned, “What checkout counter?” 

Estelle took a deep breath, “The place where you pay for your stuff at the supermarket.” 

Jonathan’s brow furrowed even more, “The supermarket manager helped me carry the box to the car, and I gave him the money.” 

Estelle, “…” 

“What’s wrong?” the man asked. 

“Nothing.” Estelle croaked, at most, the supermarket manager thought Jonathan was buying wholesale. 

Go to the supermarket to engage in wholesale, no wonder the manager was alarmed, and personally sent to his car. 

She looked up and said seriously., “Don’t go to that supermarket anymore!” 

“Why?” the man asked. 

Estelle said, “I’m afraid that the manager wants to talk to you about cooperation!” 

Jonathan looked at her and suddenly laughed. 

Estelle couldn’t help but laugh as well, her eyes shining brightly and daintly. 

Jonathan’s heart stirred, and he pinched her chin to kiss her, kissing urgently, deliberately ignoring the unusual heartbeat in his heart for 

some reason. 

The next day was Sunday, and the art gallery’s exhibition officially opened. 

For the Macclain family, Simone got up early and put on her makeup, picking out clothes for Carmella. Today they were going to the exhibition to see Carmella’s painting, so they had to dress up a bit. 

Suddenly, the phone on the table rang. Simone picked it up and answered, smilingly said, “Yes, it opens at nine. We’ll be there soon, see you later.” 

Carmella obediently sat in a chair, waiting for Simone to hang up the phone before asking, “Mom, did you invite someone else?” 

“Yes, a few good friends and those who usually play cards with me. I invited them all.” Simone’s face was smiling, especially smug, “My daughter’s painting is exhibited in such a big exhibition. Of course, I want them all to see it.” 

Carmella had a sweet smile, her eyes moving, and said sweetly, “Isn’t that too showy?” 

“Not showy at all. We’ve been keeping a very low–profile. You didn’t see Mrs. Reeves, the one I play cards with? Her daughter’s violin got a second prize in a music competition, and she made a big deal about it, inviting everyone and making it known all over the city. My daughter is so talented, shouldn’t I show her off?” Simone snorted. 

Carmella laughed, “As long as you’re happy!” 

“Happy? Of course, I’m happy!” Simone picked a white long dress for Carmella and asked, “Did you invite your

“Two is a bit too few, but the exhibition is open for a month. You can invite them again later.” Simone was planning, “Last time at the Copeland family birthday party,they laughed at so hard at us behind our backs. This time, we have to fight back.”
