Charte felt an emptiness as Kya left his arm and he slowly got up to hid her goodbye
“By Uncle Charlie Don’t forget to eat on time every day! Kya looked at him reluctantly, reminding him with the words that Emily often used her Charlie gave a genuine smile, said goodbye to Kys, and walked towards his car. As he passed Emily, he whispered, “Don’t forget to report to the office on Monday”
Emily lowered her head and said, “I know”
Charlie didn’t look back but got into the car and drove off
Emily finally relaxed and said to Ms. Simmons, “You go up and rest for a while. I’ll stay here and play with Kya”
Ms. Simmons nodded, then suddenly asked, “Now that your mother is discharged, do I still need to come?”
Emily had the same thought initially, but things had changed. She asked Ms Simmons, “Would you like to continue taking care of Kya?”
“Maybe he despises me so much that he wants to make my life harder.” Emily sighed. She couldn’t think of any other reason.
