The servant saw Estelle walking in and spoke in a sarcastic tone, “Oh, look who’s here, Estelle. It’s been a while, I thought you’d forgotten where home was!”

Jonathan furrowed his brows, and Henson coldly scolded, “Who do you think you are, some clueless gatekeeper, acting up against your own master? Are

blind or just plain stupid?”

The servant widened her eyes, “Who the hell are you, barging into our house and causing a ruckus!“

Estelle stood in front of Henson, “He’s a quest I invited. Old Mr. Macclain asked me to come, go and tell them that I’m here!”

The servant shot Henson a furious look and stormed off towards the mansion.

Estelle turned around and said, “No matter what they say, don’t get angry. I can handle it myself!”

Henson frowned, “You’re a member of the Macclain family, why are they treating you like this?”

“Because I didn’t grow up with the Macclains “Estelle shrugged.

Henson looked puzzled, “Even if you didn’t grow up with the Macclains, you’re still a part of the family, shouldn’t they cherish you more?”

Estelle cracked a cold smile, “Not everyone cares about family ties.”

Jonathan looked stern, “Don’t the Macclains know that you were adopted by the Jarvis family in C City?”

“They don’t.”

Jonathan sneered. “I see!”

“I have never mentioned Old Mr. Jarvis, so I don’t care how the Macclains view me, I really don’t, so you don’t have to get upset for me. Once I explain the situation, we’ll leave” said Estelle

“Alright, let’s go inside and talk.” Jonathan nodded.

They continued walking towards the mansion. Once they entered the living room, they heard the servant shout, “Estelle is here!”

Jonathan scanned everyone in the room with a poker face and said coldly, “Estelle just finished tutoring Henson, we brought her here on our way.”

Terrence walked over with a friendly smile, “Why didn’t Estelle inform us earlier? We could have come to pick her up. I’m sorry for the oversight, Mr. Lamont, please have a seat! Bring out my best wine for Mr. Lamont!”

Seeing this, the servant looked very nervous. She agreed and quickly went to get the wine.

Bennett also walked over and spoke to Henson in a gentle tone, “So you’re Henson, quite handsome. Please have a seat!”

Jonathan let Estelle sit first, then he and Henson took their seats.

Natalia took the wine from the servant and placed it next to Jonathan herself, saying with a smile, “Sabina works under you, we’ve always wanted to invite you over. Thank you for looking after Sabina.”

“We’ll talk about that later!” Jonathan leaned back in his chair, his gaze sweeping over everyone present, “Weren’t you guys supposed to have a talk with Estelle? Let’s get started. Once we’re done, Henson and I have dinner plans with Ms. Macclain.”
