Estelle gave an understanding look, recognizing the girl's slightly familiar face, and gave a small chuckle and nod.
The girl had become the store manager, and she had upgraded Estelle's small ice cream to a large one for free. She cheerfully said, "This one's on me. Hope to see you again."
Estelle accepted the ice cream, thanking her with a smile.
Just as Estelle was about to leave, two girls by the door were staring at Jonathan, who was sitting on a bench by the street, whispering.
"He's so hot!"
"Such a great aura; is he a celebrity?"
"Nah, if there was a celeb that handsome, we'd definitely know."
"Let's try to get his number!"
"He looks so aloof, I don't dare!"
"Just give it a shot; what if he's our Mr. Right?"
"Alright, let's do this together; no chickening out!"
Estelle slowed her pace, listening to their conversation and looking at Jonathan through the glass window, the scene feeling oddly familiar.
She turned around and walked towards the two girls.
Just as the girls were about to approach Jonathan, they saw Estelle coming over and looked surprised.
"Do you think that guy over there is hot?" Estelle asked with a smile.
The girl in the denim dungaree dress blinked and nodded. "He's hot!"
"Thanks, how about his girlfriend buying you some ice cream?" Estelle said, smiling. She then ordered and paid for two more ice creams using her phone.
The girls quickly realized and said embarrassedly, "No need, we were just joking. We didn't know he had a girlfriend. We're really sorry!"
"It's alright; thanks for complimenting him!" Estelle laughed, picked up her stuff, and left.
The girls watched Estelle leave, feeling embarrassed but also grateful that she had cleared up the misunderstanding in such a manner. It would have been really awkward if they had asked Jonathan for his number and were caught by his girlfriend.
When Estelle went outside, she handed Jonathan the lemonade and said, "This is for you!"
But Jonathan frowned at the ice cream in her hand and said, "Estelle, you know that eating too much ice cream can upset your stomach and isn't good for fertility, right?"
Estelle almost choked on her ice cream, covering her mouth and glaring at Jonathan.
She swallowed the ice cream, explaining seriously, "Jonathan, when I was against birth control, it was because I didn't understand your opinion, not because I wanted a child."
"So you don't want a child in the future either?" Jonathan asked with a smile.
"As for the future," Estelle rolled her eyes, "we'll talk about it later!"
"We should prepare in advance, darling; don't eat anymore!" Jonathan reached out, wanting Estelle to hand him the ice cream.
Estelle shook her head and backed up. "Actually, I ordered a small size, but the store manager recognized me and upgraded it to a large one. And there's something else I need to tell you."
"What is it?"
"Just now a girl wanted to ask for your number. I told her you have a girlfriend already. I did good, right?"
Jonathan's eyes lit up. "Really?"
"Of course it's true!" Estelle immediately answered.
Jonathan was pleased; compared to the first time when she sold him out directly, this was a significant improvement.
"Just eat half then."
"Okay!" Estelle agreed happily.
As before, they rented a tandem bicycle, with Jonathan taking the lead in the front while Estelle leisurely enjoyed her ice cream at the back.
When they passed a small shop on the street, Jonathan bought Estelle a sun hat.
They rode down a long tree-lined path and ended up in a square.
