Chapter 1454 

Estelle caught Luisa’s drift and didn’t add anything more 

Xavier asked Estelle, “Where’s Norah?” 

“She’s outside, Estelle paused for a moment before adding honestly, “And Jonathan came with me” 

Xavier gave her a quick glance and headed for the backyard, “Come with me’ 

Estelle trailed behind him 

Luisa watched their retreating figures and whispered to Zachary, “Do you think Xavier is into Estelle?” 

Zachary chuckled “We all dig Ms Macclain’ 

Luisa seemed a bit upset as she retorted, “Well, of course, she’s prettier than me.” 

Zachary was quick to explain, “I didn’t mean it that way, Estelle has been a big help to us. We wouldn’t have survived in J City without her. We all consider Ms. Macclain a friend.” Luisa huffed “So who do you think is prettier, me or Estelle?” 

Zachary grinned “You’re gorgeous, definitely you.” 

Luisa smiled contentedly, her gaze shifted towards the backyard, but the view was obstructed by the shadows of the trees. 

Meanwhile in the backyard. 

Xavier gestured to Estelle to take a seat as he inquired, “When did you and Jonathan get back together?” 

“It’s been a while, Estelle replied honestly. 

Xavier frowned at her without saying anything, but his expression said it all. 

Estelle glanced at a cat in the comer, she moved closer to the wall, trying to hide from its view. 

Once she felt safe, she began, “Xavier, I owe my sight to Jonathan.” 

“Huh?” Xavier raised an eyebrow. 

Estelle went on to explain how Jonathan bought a biotech company and invested in researching a cure for her eyes and the drug trials. 

Xavier listened quietly, when she was finished with the explanation, he mused, ‘So you got back together with him because you were touched?” 

“No!” Estelle shook her head, her eyes serious, “Xavier, I’ve always liked him, even when we were abroad.” 

Xavier hadn’t realized Jonathan had done so much for Estelle behind the scenes. He lit a cigarette, looking at Estelle pensively. 

“Are you sure about your feelings?” 

I’m sure! Estelle looked at him resolutely. 

“Alright, as long as you’ve made up your mind,” He knew Estelle had had a tough life growing up. If being with Jonathan made her happy, he had nothing to say. 

Estelle asked, ‘I’ve said my piece, what’s up with you and Norah?” 

Xavier looked at her, asking, “What’s there to talk about? How should I explain what happened last time? Luisa is Zachary’s girlfriend, should I really stop her from coming here just because of two flowers? How should I explain that to Zachary?” 

“Do you really think Norah was upset over two flowers? She might have been spoiled growing up, but she’s not unreasonable.” 

“Then what else could it be?” Xavier asked as he was unable to find any other reason. 

Just as Estelle was about to reply, they heard footsteps approaching and she refrained from saying anything. 

“Estelle, Mr. Flemmings, would you like some water?” 

Luisa came over with two bottles of water, placed them on the stone table, and opened the caps. She handed one to Estelle. 

Estelle accepted it and said, “Thank you! 

“Don’t mention it. This drink is lemon-flavored, if you don’t like it, I can get you something else for you,” Luisa offered with a warm smile that left no room for complaints. “This is perfect” Estelle nodded.
