“If you want to get cozy, go back to your room. Why are you blocking the doorway?” 

Xavier said with a grin, “You believe me now, don’t you?” 

Norah’s eyes twitched, “So you knew what I was thinking” 

“You’re just too suspicious Xavier mocked. 

Norah still felt something was off. 

“Stop overthinking. Nothing’s happening today. When the rain stops, go home early” Xavier said and headed out. 

“Where are you going?” Norah asked immediately 

“Out for a smoke!” 

“It’s raining outside, don’t forget your umbrella!” Norah said with concern. 

“Got it!” Xavier replied and walked away without a backward glance. 

Upstairs, Luisa had accomplished her goal. She pushed Zachary away and said with a blush, “I think Xavier and Norah just came up. They didn’t see us, did they?” 

Zachary only had eyes for Luisa and said with a goofy smile, “It’s all good. They’re our friends.” 

“What friends?” Luisa frowned, “I think Norah has something against me. She keeps targeting me.” 

“She probably misunderstood because you picked her flowers. Don’t sweat it, things will get better with time. Norah’s a straight shooter Zachary said with a laugh. Luisa rolled her eyes, Tll go downstairs and explain.” 

“Sounds good.” Zachary agreed. 

Luisa went downstairs and heard water running in the bathroom. She knocked and walked in to find Norah filling a basin with water. 

Luisa closed the door and smiled at Norah, “Norah, I noticed you didn’t eat much. Not used to my cooking?” 

Norah replied indifferently. “No, I just wasn’t hungry” 

“I thought you might not like my dishes. If you have any complaints, feel free to ask. We consider you a friend, don’t stand on ceremony!” Luisa leaned against the door, watching Norah. 

Hearing Luisa’s presumptuous tone, Norah frowned at her, “You don’t need to tell me that!” 

“it may be early to say, but it will happen sooner or later, Luisa said with a smile. 

Norah scowled, “What do you mean?” 

“Exactly what you are thinking” 

Norah stared, “You’re really after Xavier?” 

Luisa remained silent, just smiling provocatively at Norah. 

“You’re using Zachary to get to Xavier. What’s your game? Norah demanded angnly. 

“Zachary likes me, not the other way around. He’s just a cook, not a patch on the boss. Once I’m with Xavier, I have him kicked out* 

Norah stared at her in disbelief, “Why are you so malicious?” 

“You like Xavier too, don’t you?” Luisa locked Norah up and down and shook her head disdainfully, “A mature man like Xavier won’t fall for a naive girl like you. He’s into women like me. He just hasn’t said anything because Zachary’s in the way 

“You’re talking nonsense Norah trembled with anger.
