Chapter 1506 

Online, the war of words between the paid shills of Visionary Studios and KING’s fans was heating up. The main bone of contention was that Visionary Studios seemed to be exploiting KING without a shred of humility, instead hyping up Carmella by putting down KING. It was obvious they’d crossed the line. 

On Friday, the latest episode of Beauty’s Wardrobe was filmed, and once again, Carmella blew everyone away with her stunning designs, earning the judges‘ praises. 

At this point, Carmella had become the darling of the show, and the judges were naturally laying it on thick, setting the mood. 

After the judges had their say, Carmella responded with a soft chuckle, “Thanks for the support. I know I’ve had my fair share of roses and thorns. I just want to clear the air that I never claimed to be the next KING. My designs are all mine; no one else’s shadow is in them. I hope some fans out there can stop targeting me and focus more on my work!” 

This wasn’t some planned spiel from the production team. Both the director behind the scenes and the judges in front were gobsmacked. Someone started clapping in the audience, and other invited guests followed suit, supporting Carmella. 

Sallie, standing nearby, let out a cold chuckle and said, “So after riding on KING’S coattails, Carmella’s just gonna wash her hands off KING. She’s got some nerve!” 

Her sharp voice filled the entire studio since Sallie’s mic was still on. 

Everyone froze. 

Carmella looked coldly at Sallie, turned off her mic, and said, “Sallie, are you talking about me? Do you think I still need to ride on KING’s coattails? It looks to me like KING’s fans can’t stop riding on my popularity!” 

“Carmella, you’re shameless! You copied KING!” Sallie snapped back, her voice piercing. A wave of murmurs swept through the audience. 

Panicking, the director shouted in Sallie’s ear, “Sallie, what the hell are you doing? Turn off your mic now!” 

Carmella gave Sallie a dismissive glance, tossed her mic aside, and strode off the stage, refusing to continue filming! 

The judges on stage and the audience below were thrown into chaos. The director ran out, trying to calm everyone down, then turned to Sallie, scolding, “Have you lost your mind? If you don’t want to film, then get the hell out!” 

“Fine, I’ll go. You spineless sycophants will get what’s coming to you, just like Carmella! 

Sallie threw down her mic and stormed off. 

The director was hopping mad, “Quick, stop Sallie!” 

Amber hurried to catch Sallie. 

The director couldn’t just let Sallie walk out. It was already Friday, the new episode was about to be aired, and there was no time to find a replacement. 

Besides, Sallie was from Snowy Studios and had the backing of the Lamont Group; they couldn’t afford to offend her. 

The director sent Amber to stop Sallie while he and Heather Vang went to find Carmella. 

Carmella was in the makeup room, ready to pack up and leave, when the director quickly put on a pleasant face and tried to smooth things over, “Carmella, we’ve worked together for so long. You can’t just leave us hanging now.” 

Heather chimed in, “Sallie’s just jealous. You shouldn’t stoop to her level.” 

The director hurriedly agreed, “Exactly!” 

“I’ll continue filming, but I don’t want to see Sallie!” Carmella said coldly. 

“We’re too far into the season to replace her now, but I promise I won’t hire her for the next season!” The director pleaded, “Carmella, I’ve always treated you well since you joined the show. Can you give us another chance for my sake?” 

After some more soothing words from the director and Heather, Carmella reluctantly said, “Fine. But tell Sallie to watch her mouth from now on!”
