Chapter 1523

She was just looking for a document pn Estelle’s computer. But instead of logging out after finding it, she continued snooping around on Estelle’s computer and soon enough, she found the folder where Estelle kept all her design drafts.

She was clearly amazed as she went through the designs one by one. After a slight hesitation, she got up and started looking around the room. Anyone at the press conference knew what she was trying to find surveillance cameras!

Seemingly convinced that there were no cameras in the room, Carmella glanced around one more time before starting to print out Estelle’s designs in a rush.

The whole scene was recorded, from her initial surprise and hesitation to her final frantic excitement. All her actions were captured perfectly by the hidden camera.

The room went nuts.

Jason said calmly, “Carmella was fired from Snowy Studios for plagiarism when she used to work there. But we didn’t announce it publicly because we wanted to give her a chance to rebound. Who would have thought she’d do something like this again, and even worse than before! KING has been attacked by Carmella more than once. She had the evidence, but she wanted to give Carmella a chance to make amends. Sadly, things have escalated to this point.”

Everyone turned to look at Carmella with looks of shock, contempt, and even disgust.

Not only did she steal designs, she used them for personal gain, framed the original designer, and vehemently denied plagiarizing their work. She even hired internet trolls to attack the original designer online. It was outrageous!

The reporters flocked to Carmella.

“Ms. Carmella, the evidence is clear. What do you want to say for yourself?”

“You swore you didn’t plagiarize. Aren’t you afraid of karma?”

“Didn’t you feel guilty when you incited your fans to attack KING online?”

The slap left Carmella’s ears ringing. She swayed, blacked out, and collapsed.

After she fainted, the room became even more chaotic. Jason called an ambulance and announced the end of the press conference.

With Carmella unconscious, reporters turned their attention to Estelle. Jason and Sophia protected Estelle and left through the back door.

Harriet was left to handle the aftermath.

“Everything has been laid bare. KING will not be appearing in public in the future. If you have any respect for her, please reserve her privacy and personal space. We thank the press for your understanding and cooperation. Staff will assist you to leave shortly!”
