Chapter 1551 

“I was just a bit curious, that’s all!” Waters raised her eyebrows slightly, a hint of regret in her expression. “I felt sorry for you before, I thought I was a fool for investing all my youthful experiences in you, so I said yes to a guy who was chasing after me. But we broke up after a month. Dating someone you don’t like is a total drag, every minute is torture” 

Charlie watched her, not saying anything. 

Waters went on, “So, I dumped him in a heartbeat! If I can’t have you, I might never get over it, feeling like no one else can measure up to you!” 

Charlie lit a cigarette and said nonchalantly, “No need for all that, I really don’t like you!” 

Waters shrugged. “Well, let’s see about that. Who knows what the future holds, right?” 

She stood up, a faint smile on her face. “I heard you have clients to deal with, so I won’t keep you. I’ll arrange for the bid documents to be prepared, there’s no need for your help, I’ll fight for it myself.” 

Charlie replied, “Alright, bye” 

Waters gave a small smile and walked out in her heels, all poised and elegant. 

As she left the CEO’s office, she shot Emily a glance, then exited. 

Emily’s phone rang almost immediately, she picked up. “Mr. James?” 

“Come in!” 

“Alright!” Emily responded respectfully, hung up the phone, and organized the documents in her hand, ready to meet Charlie. 

Charlie was smoking by the window when he heard the knock. He said, “Come in, then put out his cigarette and casually opened the window to let the smoke out He knew Emily didn’t like the smell of smoke. 

“Mr. James, here are the documents you needed, all organized.” Emily put the documents on the desk. 

Charlie, used to Emily’s professional tone at work, didn’t dig any deeper, glanced at the documents, and asked, “What did Waters say to you earlier?” 

Emily replied lightly, “Nothing much.” 

Charlie looked at her and said, “Come here” 

Emily blinked slightly and walked around the large desk towards Charlie. 

She stopped one step closer and asked, “What is it?” 

“Come a bit closer.” Charlie said it casually, still looking at the documents 

Emily took another half step. Charlie suddenly grabbed her wrist, pulled her into his arms, turned her around to pin her against the desk, and kissed her hard. 

His swift and domineering actions startled Emily, she couldn’t even scream. She opened her eyes wide and saw his smirk, with a hint of desire. 

Emily tried to push him away, but he only kissed her harder 

She was trapped between the hard desk and him, with no room to struggle. 

Charlie was not satisfied with the kisses and whispered, “Should we do it here?” 

Emily glared at him. The reception room downstairs was full of clients, and Tracy outside could knock on the door any minute. 

Charlie’s voice turned husky. “There’s a rest room behind the office” 

Emily was both angry and embarrassed, blushed deeply, avoided his kiss, and said in a low voice, “You promised not to do anything inappropriate the office” 

“Who pissed me off?” Charlie started from the corner of her lips, kissing all the way to her earlobe. 

Emily suppressed a shiver and asked softly, “When did I piss you off?”
