Chapter 1614 

Magdalen looked puzzled, “You mean, someone’s been tailing me?” 

Estelle nodded, “Definitely more than just these two times!” 

Kevin suggested immediately, “I have a buddy who’s a whiz at coding. Unlocking phones is a piece of cake for him. Why don’t you give me the phone? And I’ll have my friend to unlock it and see what else this jerk might have taken.” 

Estelle considered it for a moment and replied, “No need for that. I have a friend who can do that as well. I’ll ask her for help.” 

Kevin chuckled, “Alright then. Let me know if you have any news. I want to know who’s been spying on Magdalen too. If I ever catch him.” 

They returned upstairs and chatted for a while before Jonathan texted Estelle, asking if she was heading home.

Estelle took a look at Magdalen and said, “It’s getting quite late, so we’ll drive you home.” 

Magdalen replied, “Don’t worry about me. Morrison will be here to pick me up. 

Estelle texted Jonathan back, telling him to wait for Morrison. 

Kevin had initially considered to invite Magdalen to his place to watch the Super Bowl, but upon hearing that Morrison was on his way, he decided to abandon the idea. 

It was already nine in the evening by the time Morrison finished his meeting and left his office. He drove personally to the Fairview Hotel to pick up Magdalen. 

His phone suddenly rang. He glanced at the screen and slid to answer, “Antonia!” 

A panicked voice came from the other end, “Morrison, the lights in my room are out, it’s so dark. Can you come over and help me out? I’m really scared.” 

“Is it just your fights, or is there a power outage?” Morrison asked. 

Antonia replied in a small voice, “Other houses have power.” 

Morrison/suggested, “It could be a problem with your wiring. Do you have the property management’s number? Call them and they will send someone to 

check.” 

“don’t feel comfortable having strangers in my home.” Antonia’s voice choked up, “Morrison, can you come over? I’m really scared. Please.” 

Morrison hesitated for a moment before replying in a calm voice, “Alright, I’m on my way.” 

Antonia’s tears immediately turned into laughter, “Thank you, Morrison. I’ll be waiting for you. Please hurry!” 

Once hearing Morrison’s agreement, Antonia hung up the phone, wearing a triumphant smile. She turned off the circuit breaker in her room, plunging the entire area into darkness. 

Antonia lit some candles and arranged them on a table draped with a traditional tablecloth. She uncorked a bottle of wine and arranged two glasses, then added a spritz of perfume to fresh flowers in a vase. 

The room was now filled with a romantic atmosphere. 

With everything set up, Antonia flashed a satisfied smile before heading back to her room to change. 

She slipped into a champagne-colored silk nightdress, its seductive hue and perfect cut accentuating her youthful, graceful figure. 

Her wavy hair flowed down her back, and she took a sip of the wine, sitting quietly on the couch, waiting. 

About half an hour later, someone knocked on the door. 

Antonia immediately turned off her phone, stood up, put the strap of her dress down a bit more before she walked over to answer the door. She put on a flirtatious smile. 

“Morrison, finally.” Antonia held the door handle and stared at the man outside, “Who are you?” 

The man outside replied, “I’m Mr. Langston’s assistant. Mr. Langston had some urgent business. so he sent me to help you with the electrical problem. 

Antonia’s hopes were shattered, and her irritation was evident on her face, “Where’s Morrison?” 

“Mr. Langston went to pick up Ms. Sampson.” The assistant truthfully replied. 

Antonia was even more furious, clenching her teeth in anger. 

The assistant asked, “Ms. Antonia, do you need my help?” 

Antonia jerked the door open and said, “Come in!” 

The assistant entered the room and began to check the wiring and the breaker. Eventually, he found that the circuit breaker had tripped and reset it. With that, the lights in the room flicked back on.
