The subordinate was also confused, “I don’t know.” 

Cliff asked, “Have you figured out who this Estelle is?” 

“Yes. Although the post has some fabrications and exaggerations, it’s mostly true. Estelle is the missing daughter of the Macclain family who later became a designer.” 

At this point, Cliff was genuinely feeling a headache. After receiving a call from Millard, he rushed to J City overnight and immediately let his men look into the whole matter upon his arrival. 

Initially, he thought the matter would be easy to resolve. Estelle was young and beautiful, and he guessed that Jonathan had acted out of love, kidnapping Antonia to win Estelle’s favor. The Crawley family has always been handling things arrogantly in B City, and Cliff didn’t want to be pushed around by Jonathan. So, after arriving in J City, he first dug into Estelle’s information, then found where she lived to catch her and negotiate with Jonathan. 

However, things didn’t go as planned. Not only did they fail to catch Estelle, but his own men got hurt. It was difficult to get things done on other’s turf. Now that he was hitting obstacles at every turn, Cliff realized the situation was more complex than he had initially thought. 

In a private apartment in the city 

When Morrison returned home to pick up a few things, he found Kevin Larsen waiting outside the door. His face was sunburnt and red. He seemed to have been waiting for quite a while. 

“Mr. Morrison!” Kevin stepped forward as he saw Morrison getting out of the car “Looking for me?” Morrison asked, pushing up his glasses, his expression indifferent. 

“Yes!” Kevin said softly, “Is Magdalen home? I have something to discuss with you.” 

Morrison gave a slight nod, “She’s not home yet, come in!” 

They went upstairs to Morrison’s study where he removed his suit and said in a low voice, “Tell me, what’s the matter?” 

Kevin anxiously said, “Mr. Morrison, please save Antonia. Her phone is switched off, and she’s not replying to WhatsApp messages. I can’t find her. Her friends told me Magdalen hit her last night, and then she was taken away by some men. Please help her!” 

Morrison showed no emotion at the news, his face calm, and he simply said, “So the online post smearing Estelle was Antonia’s doing!” Kevin awkwardly said, “Could be!” 

Morrison’s face grew cold, “In that case, I can’t help you. You know how Magdalen is.” 

“Mr. Morrison!” Kevin implored, “The Crawley family entrusted Antonia to your care. Now that she’s in trouble, you can’t just stand by!” 

Morrison let out a bland grin, “I can take care of her, but I can’t stop her from looking for trouble herself, can I?” 

“Antonia is just a little hot-headed. She has never been aggrieved before. When Estelle rejected her, she couldn’t take it and acted impulsively!” Kevin said hurriedly, “Mr. Morrison, if you save Antonia, I promise I’ll disappear from Ms. Sampson’s life. I won’t bother her again!” 

Just as Morrison was about to speak, his face changed slightly as he looked towards the study door. 

Magdalen was leaning against the door frame, dressed in a rose-colored sundress, looking both stunning and languid. 

Kevin seemed to sense something and turned to look. He froze on the spot. 

Wasn’t it said that Magdalen wasn’t home? 

Magdalen crossed her arms and looked at Kevin, expression neither cold nor warm, “So, you like Antonia! That’s why you deliberately got close to me, to let the paparazzi take photos of me betraying Morrison.”
