Jonathan held Estelle's hand, a comforting warmth spreading between them, "Don't worry, the Crawley family hasn't monopolized B City yet. Plus, Cliff has been too distraught to meddle in anything else lately. Perhaps, the Crawley family's prosperity will soon be a thing of the past."

Estelle nodded, her eyes steadfast, "It's all thanks to you. If you ever need me, don't hesitate to ask"

Jonathan gently touched her hair, "You are Mrs. Lamont. Of course, the future success of Lamont Group will partly be your responsibility. And if you need anything, it's only natural for everyone at Lamont Group to go above and beyond for you. So, there's no need to mention help. It's all part of the job."

Estelle leaned her head on his shoulder and chuckled, “Alright, I'll remember that."

Jonathan wrapped his arm around her, tenderly stroking her soft hair. The thought of standing beside her in the future filled him with immense pride and anticipation.

The next day Early in the morning, Bennett sat in his office chair, feeling restless.

His phone buzzed on the table. It was Simone.

He answered the call, and Simone's anxious voice came through, "Bennett, did you see the news? There's a scandal about Cliff having an illegitimate child. His wife has publicly accused him of illegal activities online.

Cliffs world is falling apart!"

Bennett's eyes widened, "When did this happen?"

Simone hurriedly replied, "It broke out an hour ago. The internet is in an uproar"

The scandal had immediately topped the trending charts and the majority of the comments were criticizing Cliff for abandoning his wife and child and the Crawley family for their lack of compassion.

Bennett quickly opened his laptop. After a few glances, his heart pounded in his chest.

“Did Jonathan have anything to do with the Crawley family's downfall?" Simone asked.

Bennett's face paled, "Absolutely. Cliff couldn't suppress Jonathan in J City, and Jonathan has outmaneuvered him here too."

"Do it sooner rather than later!"

After hanging up, Bennett walked to the window and lit a cigarette, pondering how to fix his relationship with Estelle.

Suddenly, his secretary rushed in, "Mr. Macclain!"

Bennett turned around, annoyed, "What is it? Why the hurry?"

The secretary pointed at the computer screen, "Look at your computer!"

“What about it?’ Bennett walked towards his desk, but as he saw the screen, his face turned ashen.

The screen had gone black, and in bold, white letters, a message scrolled across, “Colluding with outsiders, selling out your daughter, son of a bitch!"

The words kept scrolling across the screen.
