Chapter 1760

Noreen clutched her cellphone, her heart pounding in her chest!

Should she take this risk?

Other than this, she seemed to have no other options. Her family disapproved of her boyfriend. After she asked them for money a couple of times, they had now washed their hands off her. She had sold her house and the money was almost spent.

Jonathan was right, even if she asked Emily for 10 grand, that wouldn't save her boyfriend!

So, why not take a chance!

Noreen turned to look at Kya, her face filled with doubt. Would Charlie really care that much about Emily's child?

Could Kya be Charlie's?

What was Jonathan giving her? She was getting a bit impatient to find out!

She left the small apartment with Kya, not retrieving the item from the safe deposit box herself, but hiring someone else to do it instead.

She was afraid that Jonathan might have planted someone at the bank.

Fortunately, everything went smoothly and she got what Jonathan had left for her. After reading it, everything suddenly made sense!

Emily had been distracted since she arrived at her office in the morning. She would find herself daydreaming while looking at the design drafts, and realized she had forgotten a sketch at home from the night before.

Taking advantage of her lunch break, she returned home to get the sketch.

Upon arriving home, there was no one there. Ms. Simmons and Kya were both gone.

Emily assumed that Ms. Simmons had taken Kya to the grocery store and called her, "Ms. Simmons, where are you?"

"Emily!" Ms. Simmons laughed, “Nothing's up. I just headed home."

Emily paused, "Where's Kya?"

Gina quickly made up a lie, “Well, I just missed Kya and wanted to spend some time with her. Your cousin just came back from abroad and she wanted to see Kya. She liked her so much that she took her out to play!"

Emily furrowed her brows, "What cousin?"

"It's Noreen"

Emily's face turned pale, "Noreen? She's back? Where did she take Kya?"

Gina stuttered, unable to explain properly.

Emily was in a state of panic. She quickly took out her phone to call Noreen. The first call went through but was quickly hung up. The second time, it was rejected.

“Answer the phone!” Emily's hand was trembling as she held the phone, her eyes filled with fear.

Noreen must have come back for money. Why did she take Kya?

Noreen didn't answer the phone. Emily sent her a message with shaking hands.
