Charlie suddenly looked up, "Emily is going to be a bridesmaid?"
"Yeah, didn't she tell you?"
Charlie furrowed his brows and casually said, "You just asked me to be your best man? Well, I suppose I could consider it."
"Weren't you just refusing? I still need another groomsman and thought of you first since you're my brother. But if you're not up for it, I was going to ask Jonah. With Estelle there, he'd definitely say yes!" Josiah boasted with a smirk.
Charlie scoffed, "You think Jonathan would agree to be your groomsman? You're dreaming!"
"With Estelle around, of course, I dare to dream!"
"Fine, I'll take one for the team. Don't bother Jonathan."
Now it was Josiah's turn to strut, "Then go talk to Jonah. Maybe you two can make a bet, and whoever wins gets the spot!"
Charlie kicked at him playfully, "Get lost, now!"
Josiah laughed as he did a backflip off the couch, landing with a flourish that had Kya giggling uncontrollably.

The New Year was just around the corner. Jasmine Jones called Sophia to ask when she'd be coming home.
Spinning a pen in her hand, Sophia laughed, "What's the rush? New Year's is still ten days away!"
"It's not about the New Year; it's us who are anxious. You're another year older, and look at Wallis, his kid is already two!" Jasmine remarked.
"So what if his kid is two? It's not like I can't have kids. What's there to brag about?" Sophia retorted, her voice muffled by the pen in her mouth.
Jasmine inquired, "Didn't you always say you'd bring your boyfriend over to meet us? Why haven't we heard anything? Doesn't he want to visit?"
Sophia quickly replied, "Of course, he wants to! He's just been super busy. Haven't I mentioned? He's in the middle of starting his own business!"
"But he's got to take a break for the New Year, right? Bring him over this year, and we can also talk about your engagement," Jasmine suggested.
"No worries, are you free tonight?" Sophia's voice lowered, "I miss you!"
"I might be a bit late," Robin pondered.
"That's fine, I'll make a reservation, and you can come when you're ready," Sophia said cheerfully.
"Alright!"
After hanging up, Robin placed his phone on the desk and returned to his paperwork.
Diana, organizing a proposal nearby, looked up with a smile, "Got a date tonight?"
Robin replied nonchalantly, "Just dinner."
Diana sighed, "That sounds nice!"
Robin chuckled, "What's so great about dating? You sound like you want a relationship. I've heard a few guys from the office are interested in you. If you're thinking about dating, you might want to give them a chance."
