Jason frowned, "Really?"
After that, he took off his glasses and bowed his head, his forehead touching hers, "Let me see, are you the one with a fever?"
Their sudden closeness, eye to eye, his glasses removed, revealed eyes that were clearer and deeper, sending shivers down Sophia's spine, making her feel weak all over.
Jason stared at her, slowly moving closer to her lips.
Just as their lips were about to touch, Sophia suddenly turned her head away, whispering, "Where's the medicine? I'll get it for you!"
Jason felt a void in his heart for a moment, nodded slightly, "I'll get it!"
He got up and went out. Sophia waited for him to disappear before sighing deeply, patting her flushed face, and following him out.
Jason came back with a first-aid kit, rummaged through it, but found no cold medicine, only some ointments and bandages for dressing wounds.
Sophia stood up, "I'll go buy some!"
"You going is no better than me. It's raining outside, where do you plan to go?" Jason grabbed her, "A couple of coughs are nothing. If you're worried, just stay and take care of me. I'm afraid I might actually get a fever tonight."
"Then you should lie down in bed." Sophia said.
Jason was about to say he wasn't so ill as to stay in bed, but his eyes shifted, and he changed his mind, turning towards the master bedroom.
Sophia followed him, lifting the blanket for him to lie down, instinctively touching his forehead again, thankfully, it was the same as before.
"Want some water?" Sophia asked.
Jason almost laughed, the role reversal felt quite nice.
He nodded, "A glass of warm water, please."
Sophia brought him a cup of steaming hot water, "From my own experience, drinking hot water is more comforting when you have a cough."
Jason sat up against the headboard, took the cup, and slowly drank it down. Maybe it was the heat of the water, or perhaps something else, but warmth quickly spread throughout his body.
Sophia said, "The guest room, of course!"
Jason scoffed, "When you were sick, did I just sleep soundly in the next room?"
Of course not, every time Sophia was sick, Jason would stay up all night by her side.
Sophia didn't say anything; Jason gestured for her to come over, "Come here!"
Sophia walked over cautiously, "You're not really making me stay up with you, are you?"
Just as Jason was about to speak, Sophia's phone rang. She picked it up and saw an unfamiliar number.
"Hello?"
"Sophia, are you at home?" It was Robin.
Jason, hearing Robin's voice, immediately scowled.
