Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2491

Sophie said, "He's alright, talented, smart, and our understanding is getting better by the day."

"Was it her you went to see Connor with that day?" Estelle asked.

Sophie hummed in affirmation, recounting the story of how Connor and Yolanda had come to her to design a ring, and the events that followed. She frowned, "I just can't figure out, who took those photos, and why won't Connor pick up the phone?"

There was no reason for Connor to act this way. This revelation was bound to infuriate Yolanda; it could even jeopardize their wedding plans. He wouldn't harm himself like this.

After a moment's thought, Estelle called Amiee Jordan, "Can you sneak into the café across from the studio and check their surveillance footage from last Thursday?"

Estelle provided the time.

Amiee quickly agreed, promising to check immediately.

"Have you upset anyone recently?" Estelle inquired.

Sophie pondered, "If we're talking about making enemies, there is someone, Diana."

"Is she still bothering you?" Estelle frowned.

Sophie paused before sharing the recent events with Estelle.

Estelle's eyes brightened, "You two are together now?"

Sophie nodded, slightly embarrassed, "Do you think it's too soon?"

"It's not about being soon; I'm just happy for Jason. He finally got what he wanted!" Estelle exclaimed joyfully.

Sophie said, "At first, I just couldn't bear to see him upset, and somehow, we ended up together. But now, I'm more and more certain that I'm happy with him."

Estelle commented, "That's good to hear. Love is really just a feeling, a pleasant feeling. Just go with it."

Sophie smiled and nodded, "Right, why overthink it?"

Estelle nodded, "Alright, I got it!"

Hearing Estelle's words, Sophie slumped, "So, nothing turned up, right?"

"The fact that we found nothing is suspicious. Why would the camera covering your spot be the only one not working?" Estelle's gaze sharpened.

Sophie pondered, "Connor called me out of the blue that day; only Tina and I knew. If it really was Tina, how could she possibly have the means to tamper with the café's surveillance beforehand?"

Estelle said, "With the news still spreading online, we need to find Connor first!"

Sophie took out her phone, "I'll try calling him one more time!"

She dialed Connor's number, and this time, after four rings, it surprisingly connected. Sophie immediately said,

"Mr. Connor!"
