Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2785

“In that moment, I think I finally understood. As long as you were safe and happy, none of that so-called meaning mattered.”

The ring slid down the girl's smooth, slender finger, fitting perfectly against her fair skin. The pink diamond sparkled, radiating a brilliant light.

Estelle then took the other ring and placed it on the man’s hand.

His hands were handsome, with perfectly proportioned palms and fingers, and well-defined knuckles, like they were carved from cool jade—possessing both the warmth of jade and the resilient strength of white stone.

She lowered her gaze, watching the ring slip onto his finger, and asked with a soft smile, “Since all you wanted was for me to be happy, why did you make me come back?”

Jonathan stared at her half-lowered lashes and said slowly, “Because I realized something else.”

“What?”

“The happiness I give you is the only true happiness.”

Estelle pushed the ring all the way on and looked up at him.

The man's gaze was both gentle and commanding. “Only when we are together can there be true happiness. So you can't escape, and neither can I. From the moment we first met, it was destined that today, you would marry me.”

With that, he leaned down and pressed a firm kiss on Estelle’s lips.

The crowd erupted in fervent cheers. Henson, who had already carried Kya halfway back down the stairs, heard the commotion and glanced back with a raised eyebrow.

That was Jonathan for you.

At least in this moment, people could believe that love was real.

Leaning against the colonnade, Manley watched the scene unfold, his brow slightly furrowed and his crimson lips pressed into a thin line.

Lambert felt a mix of contentment and wistfulness seeing Estelle so happy. He took a deep breath and turned to speak to Manley, but seeing his expression, he let out a derisive laugh. “Feeling uneasy, are we? What’s on your mind?”

Manley’s peach-blossom eyes were slightly red, appearing even more enchantingly handsome in the light. His gaze remained fixed in one direction as he said tonelessly, “He took so long putting on that ring. Could you hear what Jonathan was saying?”

“I couldn’t make it out. It seemed like he was speaking only for Estelle to hear,” Lambert said, shaking his head slowly. “Why?”

Manley murmured, as if to himself, “Estelle doesn't usually wear high heels. She must be uncomfortable wearing such high ones and standing for so long.”
