Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2921

Eugene immediately spotted Sylvia at the back of the crowd and greeted her with a gentle smile before continuing his speech.

He spoke for a full half hour, tracing the Winters family's entrepreneurial beginnings all the way to its future ambitions.

Afterwards, he offered thanks to partners, employees, and everyone who contributed.

When he stepped down from the stage, the company’s vice president took over to deliver the next address.

Eugene made his way through the crowd to where Sylvia stood, smiling as he approached. “What took you so long?”

“I’m right on time,” Sylvia replied warmly. “Congratulations!”

“And to you as well! Your team spent all night at the hotel preparing for today's event—they were thorough and everything was perfectly organized,” Eugene complimented.

Sylvia nodded, “I’m glad you’re pleased.”

This year marked Eugene’s first time attending the anniversary celebration as CEO. With the fiftieth anniversary being such a significant milestone, all attention was focused on him. Even during their brief conversation, several reporters turned to snap photos of the two of them together.

“I see quite a few familiar clients. I’ll go say hello,” Sylvia said quietly. “You must be really busy—no need to look after me specially.”

Eugene nodded, “Let’s catch up later when I get a moment.”

“Of course!” Sylvia replied with a bright smile.

Only then did Eugene seem truly at ease. He called Milanda over, asking her to look after Sylvia and remind her to go easy on the drinks.

Milanda responded with a playful laugh, “Don’t worry, Mr. Winters, I’ll take good care of our boss.”

Eugene gave her an approving nod and said a word to Sylvia before heading off to continue his duties.

Later, as the head of the event planning firm, Sylvia also took the stage for a speech.

Dressed in a crisp, professional suit, she looked both young and composed, with bright, striking features and an air of calm confidence.
