Gina tightened her jaw and said nothing.
Elliott pressed on. "We made an agreement at the hospital. I take care of you, and she takes care of Dad. We even signed a legal support agreement. So just stay out of her life. Whatever kind of life she lives has nothing to do with us."
She sneered. "I don't care what kind of paperwork you signed. Emily Sullivan is my daughter, and no one can change that!"
He slammed on the brakes and parked the car. "Do you still want me as your son, Mom?" he asked, his voice dark.
Her eyes widened in disbelief. "Are you threatening me, Elliott? I've done everything for you!"
"You're not doing this for me—you're ruining me! If our family had stuck together through thick and thin, if you hadn't sold her out, we'd still be a loving family! But because of your favoritism, she and I are practically strangers now. My relationship with my own sister is destroyed, and my career was almost ruined! And you're telling me this is for my own good?"
He was consumed with rage, his face flushed red. He finally unleashed all the words he had kept bottled up for so long. His emotions poured out, and his eyes were so bloodshot they looked like they might bleed.
Gina stared at him in utter shock.
She was horrified and heartbroken. She couldn't understand why, after dedicating her life to planning for his future, everyone was blaming her.
She could handle it from other people, but even Elliott blamed her?
He calmed down slightly and continued to plead with her. "If you can't love her, at least don't disrupt her life now. We didn't give her this happiness, and there's nothing we can do for her. The least we can do is not destroy it!"
She let out a couple of sniffles, turned her head away, and stayed silent.
He took a deep breath, started the car, and drove off.
When they got home, Bonnie was on the phone, sounding ecstatic. "Really? Tell Justin to study hard! When he passes the exam, I'll have a huge red envelope waiting for him!"
Seeing Elliott and Gina walk in, she wrapped up the call and hung up.
Holding her lower back, she stood up. "Were you and Mom out together?" she asked, surprised.

Now he needs to boldly claim the only woman he loves is Emily…I just had to add my two cents (he he he)....
Now Charlie needs to take Emily to the marriage office like Gabriel did with Sylvia . Reassure her that he will not take for granted. Thank you for the updates. I’m loving it....
