Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3110

To help take Norah's mind off things, Estelle and Jonathan decided to take everyone horseback riding.

When Janice found out they were heading out, she was incredibly grateful to Estelle. "Please keep an eye on her for me."

"Don't worry," Estelle smiled.

Jonathan drove them all to the equestrian club. Estelle rode shotgun, while Henson and Norah sat in the back.

As soon as they got in the car, Henson shoved a fancy lollipop into Norah's hand.

Norah looked at it curiously. "What's this?"

"Eat the candy and stop crying," Henson said, looking entirely too serious and handsome for his age.

Norah's face flushed. "I'm not a kid!"

From the driver's seat, Jonathan suddenly asked, "Only Norah gets candy?"

Henson pulled out another one and handed it to Estelle, then looked at Norah. "See? People are fighting over these!"

All four of them burst out laughing, and the heavy atmosphere in the car instantly lightened up.

On the way, Hans called Henson to get him to log on for a game, but Henson just invited him to the equestrian club instead. When Sallie heard they were going horseback riding, she tagged along too. With more people, the outing naturally became a lot livelier.

Under the blazing sun, the group galloped across the fields, working up a serious sweat. By the end of it, Norah's cold was practically gone.

Henson and Hans challenged each other to a race. The two teenage boys were the picture of spirited youth, racing fiercely and drawing cheers from the onlookers.

When she got tired, Norah rested under the shade of a tree. From a distance, she spotted a familiar figure riding toward her.

The man, dressed in sleek riding gear and looking incredibly handsome in the sunlight, dismounted and walked right up to her.

"What are you doing here?" Norah asked, surprised.

Adrian, his forehead slick with sweat, sat down next to her and smiled. "Auntie Janice called and told me you guys were here."

Norah frowned, suddenly putting the pieces together.

Her wounds had been sliced open, fully exposed to the harsh sunlight with nowhere to hide.

Adrian looked at her. "If you want to cry, cry. Everyone has to go through this at least once. It'll hurt, and then you'll heal."

Norah tilted her head back, refusing to let her tears fall. She waited until her heart stopped racing before glaring coldly at Adrian. "I know everything you just said is true, but I still hate that you took it upon yourself to do this. He wasn't being irresponsible, and he wasn't stringing me along. He rejected me clearly. I was the one who refused to give up!"

"I like him. I was willing to wait. I was perfectly fine enduring an unrequited crush on my own. It's my life, and you had absolutely no right to interfere!"

Adrian stared at her, stunned.

Norah stood up, grabbed her horse's reins, and slowly walked away by herself.

She didn't want anyone to see her pain, and she didn't need anyone's pity.

Sitting there, Adrian watched the young woman walk away. He suddenly realized that beneath her innocent, fragile exterior hid a terrifying amount of strength.

Her stubborn devotion to that man made him incredibly, fiercely jealous.
