Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3144

Gonzalez gave a slight nod. "Drive safe."

"Thank you, boss." Holly hesitated, then couldn't help but add, "You should head home soon too. Don't overwork yourself. Take care of your health."

"Yeah," he replied, barely paying attention.

Holly didn't push it. She closed the door and left.

Silence fell over the room. Gonzalez set his pen down, rubbed his temples, and swiveled his chair to stare out at the night.

It wasn't that he was a workaholic. He just didn't know where to go.

Going back to the Hanson estate meant dealing with Hannah Hanson's sickeningly fake smiles, and the barbecue restaurant was haunted by memories of Norah.

Back when he was just a restaurant owner, he'd had a place he belonged. Now, sitting as the president of the Hanson empire, he had nowhere to call home.

The executive office was on the top floor, offering a sweeping view of half the city. His gaze locked onto a specific direction in the distance, a restless urge clawing at his chest. Finally, unable to fight it anymore, he stood up and strode out the door.

After Lana helped her bathe, Norah sat by her bedroom window with her hair down, talking on the phone with Adrian.

They were discussing work.

Once they hung up, Norah set her phone aside and glanced out the window, freezing for a moment.

A car was parked on the street outside the gates, and a tall figure seemed to be leaning casually against it.

The house was quite a distance from the main gate, and the trees blocked her line of sight, making it hard to see clearly. Just as she leaned closer to get a better look, Lana walked over and gently pulled her wheelchair back. "Norah, your hair isn't completely dry yet. You shouldn't sit by an open window."

Norah looked back, but through the glass, the figure was completely obscured.

She started to wonder if she'd just imagined it—if it was just the shadow of the trees falling across a parked car.

Norah's birthday arrived quickly.

She was still confined to her wheelchair. To cheer her up and make up for the fact that she couldn't walk, her family threw an incredibly lavish, bustling party.

They invited all her close friends, as well as Magdalen Sampson and Emily.

Sylvia Jarvis had originally planned to come, but Gabriel had to return to C City for business, and since she missed her grandfather, she went with him.

The Lamont family's gardens were decorated with breathtaking romance and luxury. Massive clusters of fresh flowers bloomed everywhere, balloons floated gracefully in the air, and a towering birthday cake sat under a custom glass dome in the center of the lawn. It looked like a scene straight out of a fairy tale.

Adrian gifted her a custom-ordered sports car. The steering wheel and the emblem above it were encrusted with diamonds spelling out Norah's initials.

The car was also painted in her favorite cherry-blossom pink.
