On the other side of the mountain, Adrian and Sara were stuck navigating the rugged trails with Lorelei and Whitney. The two women treated the hike like a fashion shoot, stopping every few steps to find the perfect lighting, test out different angles, and strike endless poses. It was rapidly draining Adrian and Sara's patience.
Hiking up a steep incline was already a slow process. At this rate, with these two constantly stalling, it would be pitch black by the time they reached the summit. What would be the point of the trip then?
"Why did we let them tag along again?" Adrian muttered, scowling.
Sara shrugged. "We didn't invite them. They invited themselves!"
"Let's just ditch them," Adrian suggested bluntly. "We're not a group anyway. We'll all have more fun doing our own thing."
Sara quickly went over to inform Lorelei that they were picking up the pace, and then she and Adrian resumed their climb.
As they hiked side by side, Sara turned to him. "Adrian, did you know Mr. Hanson before today?"
Judging by the sheer hostility in their interactions, they clearly had history.
At the mere mention of Gonzalez's name, Adrian's expression visibly darkened. "I know him. We aren't close."
Sara paused on the stone steps, looking back down at him. "Does Gonzalez... have feelings for Norah?"
The way he treated Norah was entirely distinct from how he treated everyone else. Even though he nominally carried the title of her "uncle," he wasn't even ten years older than her, and he wasn't married.
Standing a few steps below her, Adrian frowned fiercely. "No. He just looks out for her like a niece. It's exactly what it looks like and nothing more!"
He absolutely refused to let anyone dig up Norah and Gonzalez's past.
Norah had finally forgotten him. That meant the past was dead, and it was going to stay dead.
Sara's eyes lit up. "Really? That's a huge relief!"
Adrian scoffed coldly. "What is it with you women swooning over Gonzalez? He constantly walks around with a scowl, freezing everyone out. Guys like that only look cool from a distance. If you actually had to deal with him every day, you'd realize how agonizingly boring he really is!"
Refusing to back down, Sara fired right back. "You're completely clueless. You're just jealous of him!"

The readers' comments on the novel: Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)
Janice and Adrian don't want Norah to be with Xavier....
Thank you for the updates. You do keep us in suspense....
Curious as to how, what, when and where Norah will get her memory back of Xavier....
I'm so glad that Gonzalez was able to get Luke, Oliver and all others who wanted to challenge himas the CEO straight. Interesting how Xavier made reference to a girlfriend concerning his gift to Norah, but never did this before her accident. I'm grateful for the updates. Thank you...
I had a lot of catching up to do..oh buoy, what twist and turns. Loved every bit of it, thank you for keep updating the novel. Hoping for more love along the way....
May we please have updates. Thank you...
Someone needs to send a new picture of Trevor to Oliver and Luke so that they will get their requested reports to Gonzalez asap. If they didn't know, now they know what awaits them if they continue to disrespect and NOT follow orders....
Well, well, well. I love how Gonzalez sent out the warning that he's the CEO and either they will acknowledge him as such or get their due diligence. I'm waiting to see how the Franco family will be walking on eggs and come into a new understanding of Gonzalez taking charge. Thank you so much for the five updates....
Adrian is hoping that he has a chance with Norah and will do everything and anything in his power to keep Norah and Xavier apart....
Thank you for the updates. I hope that Norah will remember Xavier and their relationship before the accident and that they will ever be to....
