The sun beat down fiercely, baking the inside of the car and making it easy to doze off. Norah hadn't slept well the night before, and the long, monotonous drive soon had her leaning against her seat, fast asleep.
Sunlight poured over her face, illuminating her radiant, flawless complexion. Her pink lips were slightly parted as she slept deeply, entirely off her guard.
Gonzalez slowed the car, ensuring the ride was as smooth as possible.
An hour later, they entered J City. Norah woke up just in time to wave goodbye to Adrian and Sara before they headed toward N City.
By the time they arrived at her house, it was already evening. Norah hopped out of the car, stretching her arms wide, and thanked Gonzalez as he pushed her wheelchair out for her. "Thanks for taking care of me these past two days. Do you want to come inside and hang out for a bit?"
The setting sun bathed Gonzalez's face, softening his usually cold demeanor. His voice was remarkably gentle. "Not today. I'll see you next week."
"I'm going back to work next week," Norah said. "I've been gone for so long that my tasks have really piled up. I'm not sure if I'll have to work overtime on Saturday, but if I can't make it, I'll let you know in advance."
A flicker of gloom crossed his eyes, but he nodded calmly. "No matter how busy work gets, remember to take care of your health."
"Got it!" Norah waved with a bright, beaming smile. "I'm heading in. Drive safe!"
"Goodbye." Standing against the fading light, Gonzalez kept his eyes locked on her.
Wearing her backpack, Norah pushed her wheelchair toward the front gate across the street. Before going inside, she glanced back and saw Gonzalez still standing there. She flashed him one last brilliant smile before disappearing through the doors.
Only when she was completely out of sight did the man pull out a cigarette and light it. Pale smoke drifted into the twilight, blurring the heavy, somber look in his eyes.

As soon as Norah entered the house, Lana, the maid dedicated to her care, hurried over to take her wheelchair and backpack.
"You can put the wheelchair away," Norah said with a smile. "Just leave the bag in my room. I'll unpack it myself later."
"Yes, Miss!" Lana replied respectfully.

Someone needs to send a new picture of Trevor to Oliver and Luke so that they will get their requested reports to Gonzalez asap. If they didn't know, now they know what awaits them if they continue to disrespect and NOT follow orders....
