Gonzalez crouched in front of the sofa, gently nudging Circe aside. He reached out to stroke the girl's cheek and called her name softly, "Norah."

"Mhm," she murmured, slowly opening her eyes, though her gaze remained completely unfocused.

She furrowed her brow and suddenly pushed herself up, leaning over the edge of the couch.

Gonzalez frowned in concern, gently patting her back. "Are you feeling sick? Do you need to throw up?"

Norah dry-heaved a few times but didn't bring anything up. She sat back, resting heavily against the cushions.

After murmuring his name, she let her eyes drift shut again.

"Do you want to lie down?" he asked in a low voice.

Eyes still closed, Norah shook her head. The movement only made her dizzier, and she pouted stubbornly. "No!"

"Alright, we won't," Gonzalez quickly coaxed, trying to soothe her.

"I want water," she slurred, her head lolling to the side.

Gonzalez went to the kitchen and brought out a hangover remedy. He carefully guided the cup to her lips. "Drink slowly. It's a bit hot."

She took a few sips from his hand before her head suddenly slumped onto his shoulder. Eyes shut, she mumbled softly, "I don't want this. I want a drink. Sara, give me another bottle."

Gonzalez scolded her lightly, "If you dare drink another drop, you'll be in serious trouble."

Her eyelashes fluttered open. She looked up at him with teary, glassy eyes. "Why would you be mad at me?"

Her complexion was radiant and soft, her rosy lips parting slightly. The faint scent of alcohol mixed with her natural sweetness, completely taking over his senses.

He set the cup down. His long fingers gently gripped her chin, his voice turning husky. "Norah."
