Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3405

Marina found it amusing and actually scoffed. "A woman who tries to deepen a relationship by cleaning up her boyfriend's cheating scandals doesn't sound very bright."

Carson was amused by her teasing tone. He glanced at his watch. "We haven't seen each other since we got back from C City. It's time for a date to deepen our bond. Are you free tonight?"

Marina remembered that she still hadn't delivered the bodhi bracelet her mother got for Mrs. Foster. "Sure. You pick the time and place," she agreed.

"I'll text it to you in a bit," Carson said.

"Sounds good."

After he hung up, his assistant walked in for a signature.

Once he signed the documents, Carson had his assistant book a quiet upscale restaurant. However, before he could inform Marina, she messaged him first.

[Sorry, something came up. A friend from out of town is visiting, and we already planned to meet. I have to raincheck. Let's reschedule.]

Carson frowned at the text. [I asked you out first. There's a rule about first come, first served.]

Marina felt slightly guilty. [I'm really sorry. She's only in J City for one day. We can always meet another time.]

Just as Carson was about to agree, she sent another message.

[Why don't you come join us?]

Carson's fingers paused on the screen. He chuckled and typed back, [Bringing your fiancé along on a date. Great idea.]

Marina didn't banter with him and simply sent the address.

Carson raised an eyebrow. It was a bar.

...

That night, at a live music bar in J City.

Shortly after walking in, Marina spotted Carson sitting at the counter. A girl in a red slip dress was sitting next to him, and the two were chatting animatedly.

Marina couldn't help but admire the man's sheer ability to attract women wherever he went.
