Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3467

Phoebe's eyes darkened with venom. "You just managed to snag yourself a good boyfriend, that's all!"

Marina laughed. "Then I should really thank our grandparents for that."

Phoebe's carefully constructed expression finally crumpled.

Marina brushed past her, heading toward her own wing of the house.

Phoebe crouched down, aggressively petting her dog as she spoke to Marina's retreating back. "You probably don't know this yet, but to comfort me, Grandpa gave me all the shares of the new company in H Country. The entire company is in my name now, completely separate from any future estate distribution."

Marina stopped dead in her tracks.

She turned slowly. "Then you better stay alive, Phoebe. Take good care of that heart of yours. If you're dead, none of that wealth means a thing."

Phoebe turned pale but forced a sickly smile. "Thank you for your concern."

"Don't mention it. Who knows, maybe one day it'll be paid out to me as compensation again. I'm just looking out for my future assets," Marina shot back effortlessly.

Phoebe clenched her fists so tightly her knuckles turned white, forcing her smile to stay pinned in place. "Then you better hold on tight to Carson. He's quite the playboy. If some other woman snatches your biggest asset away, you'll have absolutely no one left to rely on!"

Marina's lips curled into an icy smirk. "Don't worry. I'll make sure you get an invitation to our wedding."

That evening, Marina skipped dinner at the main house. Rhiannon called her twice, but Marina claimed she was feeling under the weather and refused to go.

She knew her grandparents would be furious, but she no longer gave a damn. In the past, she had swallowed her pride and suffered in silence just to spare her parents from being caught in the middle. But now, she realized that bending over backwards to keep the peace earned her absolutely nothing but disrespect.

After work on Monday, Marina received a call from Nocturne. He informed her that an animation studio had finally been selected to adapt their manga.

"If we're moving forward with this adaptation, I only have one condition," Nocturne said smoothly. "Both of us have to be actively involved."

Marina hesitated. "My day job is incredibly demanding. I might not have the time, and I'd hate to hold up the production schedule."

En route, a message popped up on her screen from Nocturne: [I'm almost there. I'm wearing a white sweater. You'll recognize me instantly. Looking forward to this!]

Marina texted back: [I'm in a light blue trench coat. Almost there!]

Nocturne: [Waiting for you!]

Ten minutes later, Marina parked her car and walked into the establishment. She headed up to the second floor and immediately spotted a man in a white sweater sitting by the window.

He was slightly pudgy, hunched over the table reading through a file, with his back to her.

Marina smiled. Just as she stepped forward to ask if he was Nocturne, a clear, refined voice called out from behind her.

"Sia?"

Marina spun around and instantly froze.
