"I have to ask what the people want to know!" Summer teased.

Trixie tried to cop out. "I forget!"

"Impossible. Spill it!" Summer urged. "The game is about being real. Otherwise, what's the point?"

Carson Foster released Marina Evert. "I smell the pizza. I'll go grab you a slice."

With that, he stood and strode away.

Trixie watched the man's tall, athletic back out of the corner of her eye, unable to tell if she felt disappointed or relieved. She gave Summer a vague answer. "Probably about a month after we made it official."

"Not bad!" Summer shot Colby Jensen a playful look.

Colby offered a sheepish smile. "Next round, come on!"

Carson returned with the pizza, and the group kept playing. After a few more rounds, just as Trixie was starting to complain about how Carson and Marina hadn't lost a single time, Carson finally lost.

Marina laughed. "What were you just saying? Karma got him!"

Trixie, however, was thrilled. She immediately asked what he was picking.

Carson chose Dare. He pulled out the booklet of penalties and rolled the dice. The selected dare was to be locked in a dark room with someone of the opposite sex for ten minutes.

There wasn't a dedicated "dark room" here, so they temporarily requisitioned a small study next to the living room. Naturally, Carson took Marina.

The moment the study door clicked shut, Carson pinned Marina against it, kissing her deeply before scooping her up into his arms and walking further into the room.

The space was simply furnished. One wall was lined with bookshelves, a desk sat by the window, and a plush recliner rested beside it.
