Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3612

Carson spent another week in H City. Upon returning to J City, he ruthlessly severed all business ties with the Evert family. Every ongoing joint venture was immediately canceled.

All morning, Marina's phone rang off the hook. The Foster Corporation's sudden withdrawal meant astronomical losses for her family's company.

Grandpa Evert and Uncle Trevor bombarded her with calls, demanding she go to the Foster family, grovel for forgiveness, and take back what she had said. To them, canceling the engagement was simply out of the question.

Marina was unyielding. She would rather see the company go bankrupt than stay in that engagement.

Word of Marina's defiance reached Carson. His retaliation escalated fiercely. Not only did Foster Corp pull out, but every company allied with the Fosters immediately severed ties with the Evert family.

Several of Marina's major projects came to a screeching halt. The initial investments were bleeding out with no hope of return. Supply chains snapped, cash flow dried up, and the entire company was thrust to the brink of collapse in a state of sheer panic.

Even corporations that had long-standing partnerships with Marina suddenly found themselves under fire from Foster Corp. They all called her, desperate.

The consensus was clear: they didn't want to betray her after years of collaboration, but Carson had made it known that anyone standing with the Everts was an enemy of the Fosters.

An older, respected associate finally gave her a gentle warning. "Marina, you need to go talk to him."

Marina wanted nothing more than to avoid Carson, but she couldn't bear dragging innocent people down with her. With a heavy heart, she dialed his number.

His assistant answered the first four or five times. Finally, she called his private line. It rang until it almost disconnected before he picked up.

"What is it?" his voice was ice.

"I want to see you," she said evenly.

"Fine," Carson replied coldly. "But I'm busy, so I don't know when I'll have the time. If you want to come, you can go sit in the reception room and wait."
