Charlie grabbed his coat and said, “I have to go too, I have other things to do.”
“Then I’m leaving as well!” Carson said goodbye to Emily with a smile, “Take good care of yourself, and I’ll come to see you some other day!”
With no choice, Emily escorted them out.
When she came back, she went to Crystal’s room but found the door locked. She called out to Crystal several times, but Crystal didn’t answer. Emily felt more bewildered
Meanwhile, Charlie had just sat in his car when he received a message from Crystal, “Why didn’t you tell me when you left?”
Then she sent a selfie. In the photo, she was lying on the bed, propping her cheeks with one hand, pouting unhappily with a bit of grievance.
Wearing only a camisole that exposed her shoulders, it was hard to ignore.
Charlie felt like throwing up after seeing this since he had been drinking. He wanted to block Crystal, but after some thought, he didn’t do so.
