Chapter 511
Jonathan walked in, wearing off–white casual attire, his tall and straight figure exuding elegance in every move
Yvonne watched him approach, feeling a bit nervous as she nonchalantly sipped her tea
“Mom, Janice Jonathan greeted them respectively
Janice asked, “Has Estelle boarded the plane?”
“Yep!” Jonathan nodded
Cathrine spoke up. “Your dad wants you to swing by his study after you get back, go now”
“Alright!”
He turned around and went upstairs
Yvonne was a bit disappointed to see him leave so quickly
Jonathan knocked on the door and entered the study. He looked at the man behind the desk and said, “Dad, you wanted to talk to me?” Geoffrey Lamont looked up, took off his glasses, pointed to the sofa beside him, and said with a serious expression, “Sit!”
Jonathan sat down, and Geoffrey asked, “Why haven’t you come back recently at night?”
Jonathan slowly replied. “I got caught up at social events and rested at a nearby apartment”
Geoffrey didn’t ask further. After all, he had given his son a lot of leeway since he was young, even when he joined the army for years.
“Hows the new Al project you’re working on with the folks from G Country?” Geoffrey inquired
Jonathan nodded, “It’s going well!”
Geoffrey continued, “I have old friends who have been keeping an eye on your Al project. If it’s successful, they want to cooperate on applying it to the military industry” Jonathan nodded, Tll assign someone to handle this project specifically
The two chatted for a white, with Jonathan occasionally checking the time, gradually becoming distracted.
It was the driver he hired in C City to take Estelle home. ‘Mr. Lamont, Ms. Macclain didn’t take my car and hailed a cab instead. I took her luggage to the taxi for her, outside the airport”
Jonathan frowned, hung up the phone, and called Estelle, asking right away, “Where are you?”
Estelle laughed, “In a cab.”
Jonathan’s voice was low, “Why didn’t you take the car I arranged?”
Estelle asked, “You want to scare my grandpa?”
Jonathan closed his eyes for a moment, smiled helplessly, “Let me know when you get home, and keep your phone with you at all times. I’ll call you whenever “Got it!”
Estelle hung up the phone, looked out the window, and couldn’t help but smile.
Last time she went home, she and Jonathan hadn’t made up yet. Her grandpa was right when you like someone, you always want to see them or at least hear their voice
