Chapter 519 

Just as someone was texting her, she looked down at her phone without arguing anymore with Old Mr. Jarvis. 

Old Wade smiled and said, “she has her own plans, just trust her!” 

Old Mr. Jarvis snorted, “No matter how sensible she is, she’ll lose her mind whenever she meets that Lamont boy!” 

Old Wade chuckled and poured tea for him, “Nah, she won’t.” 

Estelle looked down at her phone. It was a message from Sallie, and she could tell that Sallie was angry from the text. 

“We all gathered at the old house today, and you didn’t come. Aunt intentionally stirred things up, making Grandma unhappy with you and saying you don’t care the Macclain family and only cares about your poor grandpa. I told them you were being true to your roots, and they said I didn’t know any better. So annoying!” 

Estelle raised an eyebrow, knowing that Sallie was being quite subtle and the Macclain family probably said even worse things. 

She replied, “Don’t worry about it, and don’t speak up for me.” 

Sallie quickly replied, “Estelle, are you working as an assistant at Snowy Studios?” 

“Yeah” 

“WHY?” 

Sallie meant, she was already a top designer in the country, why would she go to her own studio just to be an assistant? 

Estelle simply replied, “Graduation internship” 

It took Sallie a while to reply. “Aunt said you only got into Snowy Studios thanks to Carmella. I wanna curse when I heard it!” 

Estelle’s face was calm, “Chill out!” 

Sallie continued to be furious, “What should I do? I’m going crazy! I really want to tell them that you’re KING, and Carmella is nothing compare to you, I want to see her shocked and regretful!” 

Estelle replied, “…” 

Sallie, “I almost couldn’t help it, but Hans held me back! I can’t stand these ignorant people anymore, I need to go outside and 

relax!” 

As Estelle was reading Sallie’s message, she suddenly received a call and went to the corridor to answer. 

A deep and sexy male voice came from the phone, “What are you doing?” 

Estelle sat down, “Chatting with my grandpa.” 

Jonathan chuckled, “about me?” 

“Yup!” Estelle touched the begonia flower, “Grandpa said the gift you prepared was nice.” 

“How did you introduce me to your grandpa?” Jonathan asked with a smile. 

“A distant uncle.” Estelle casually said. 

Jonathan laughed softly. 

Estelle looked up at the moon in the sky and asked, “Can you see the moon?” 

Jonathan went to the window and whispered, “No, it’s raining in J City. Can you see the moon there?” 

“Yes, it’s big and round!” Estelle smiled warmly. “TII take a picture and send it to you later.” 

“Okay!” Jonathan’s voice became even softer, “Ella, I want to see you, is it convenient?” 

Estelle: “Grandpa is waiting for me!” 

Jonathan spoke softly, “go ahead then, spend time with your grandpa.” 

Estelle smiled, and just as she was about to hang up, she heard Jonathan say softly. “Ella, I miss you.” 

Estelle was stunned and didn’t speak for a long time. They didn’t hang up and just listened to each other’s breathing. She seemed 

to hear the sound of rain on his side, drip-drip, each drop hitting her heartstrings. 

After a while, Estelle said softly, “Goodbye!” 

The man’s voice was gentle, “Goodbye.”

Estelle hung up the phone, leaned against the pillar, and looked at the round moon in the sky with bright eyes. 

Jonathan quickly texted her, “show me the moon you see” 

Estelle laughed, took a picture of the moon and sent it to him. 

A few minutes later, Jonathan replied, “Let’s consider we’ve seen the moon together.” 

Estelle smiled and her usual tough aura melted away, leaving only the beauty and innocence a girl should have.
