Chapter 539
Ustelle got an invite to Mr. Mayheld’s movie preparatory cocktail party. Since Snowy Studios was responsible for the movie’s costume design, they were invited too. The party was on Sunday afternoon.
Jason said, “I might not have time this Sunday!
Estelle casually said, ‘I can go with Inman
“Good!” Jason said, “As long as you go, that’s fine!”
Estelle raised an eyebrow. What did that mean? Was he afraid she won’t go?
Jason seemed to see through her thoughts, “From now on, you must attend any events related to the studio, no slacking off!”
Estelle sighed, “No one ever asks me to worry about GK Jewelry Studio.”
Jason sneered, “That’s because Harriet and I spoil you too much!”
Estelle felt a bit guilty and looked down at the files. After going through only two, she got impatient and handed the stack to Jason, “I can’t stay here for too long. Time to go!”
Jason didn’t say anything and just stared at her expressionlessly.
Estelle said calmly, “It was your idea to let me work as an assistant in the studio, so I don’t have a choice.“.
She left after saying that.
Jason laughed. He knew she was used to not caring about anything. He couldn’t be mad at her.
Walking down the hallway, Estelle met Hannah’s assistant, who had just gone to the HR department downstairs to inquire about Estelle. Seeing her coming, the assistant pretended not to see her
Estelle wanted to greet her, but seeing that the assistant didn’t want to talk, she stayed silent.
The assistant entered Hannah’s office and her attitude changed to respectful, “Director, I’m back!”
Estelle nodded, “No problem. The new software has backed up all your previous data and added a replay feature.”
Inman looked at the papers in her hand, responding casually.
Estelle soon stood up, “It’s installed. Do you want to try it?”
“Maybe later, you can go ahead and take your lunch break. I’ll try it when I have some time.” Inman said with a polite smile.
“Alright, just let me know if you have any problems!”
Estelle lett
Once she got back to her desk, her coworkers were already heading out for lunch. As she tidied up her things, she pondered what to eat and finally decided to go to the restaurant across the street.
Just as she finished packing up, Inman rushed out and shouted, “Estelle!”
