Emily was nervous, but without hesitation, she opened the bag and took out the test results inside, quickly seeing the results. She felt heartbroken for her brother.

Crystal’s child had nothing to do with Elliott!

Emily tightly clenched the report, feeling both sad and angry.

Crystal! How could she do this to her brother?

Yesterday, her mom called her and said that they planned to have the wedding first, already contacting Crystal’s family to discuss the arrangements. No matter what demands Crystal’s family proposed, they would try their best to fulfill them.

Emily nodded, “Yes, it’s better to be sober!”

Charlie said, “Honestly, not marrying Crystal is a good thing for your family.”

Emily knew that Charlie was comforting her, but she still felt embarrassed and couldn’t help but smile bitterly, “So many bad things are happening to our family.”

Charlie handed Emily a tissue, speaking softly, “It will pass!”

Emily took a deep breath, “Thank you, I know what to do. I’ll give this to my brother now.”

Charlie started the car, “I’ll take you there!”

Emily had been to the rented apartment of Elliott and Crystal. On the way there, she thought about how to talk to her brother.

Upstairs, Crystal was happily organizing her spoils from the afternoon, taking pictures of her newly purchased bags and showing

Elliott wasn’t as relaxed. He’s been swiping his credit card all afternoon, the mortgage was due soon, and there was no news about his job.

He called the clients to apologize and explain, they scolded him, but he had to bear it.

Just after hanging up, Emily called.

Elliott picked up the phone, sounding tired, “Emily, what’s up?” 

Emily had calmed down, “Brother, I have something to tell you, I’m at the entrance of your building, can you come down? Come alone, please!”

Hearing her serious tone, Elliott said, “Okay, I’m coming down.”

He quickly made up an excuse for Crystal and hurriedly went downstairs.

When Eiliatt got downstairs, he saw Emily getting out of a Rolls Royce and was stunned, “Emily? Who’s in the car?” 

“My friend.” Emily didn’t elaborate, only whispering, “I’m sorry, brother, I have to apologize to you first. I had someone look into Crystal.”

Elliott frowned, “What do you mean?” 

Emily handed the file bag to Elliott, “You should see for yourself.” 

Elliott took the bag, opened it, and quickly read its contents.
