in a blink of an eye, it was Friday, and Hannah mentioned the movie fundraising party would be held on Sunday afternoon during the meeting
The producers, film crew, main actors, and investors would all be there.
Alice, a fan of Yvonne, asked excitedly. “Will Yvonne be there too?”
Hannah replied, “We’re sure that Hattie will be there. Yvonne’s schedule is said to be quite packed, so we don’t know if she’ll have time” Alice was a little disappointed, “I thought I’d get to see her!”
“Alright, the party is at 7 pm on Sunday. I’ve sent you the address. You can come a bit early.” Hannah continued, “The party is important, but don’t forget your design drafts. They’re all due on Monday. After the party, the movie will officially start, and the film crew will finalize the designers.”
“Yes!” everyone replied in unison.
Hannah looked at Estelle and whispered, “You’re new and clueless. Stick with Inman during the party. Don’t wander around or say anything stupid. If you cause trouble, no one will help you clean up the mess!”
Jessica snorted softly, “It’s not a big deal to embarrass yourself, but it’s trouble if the company’s reputation is at stake!”
Estelle kept her composure, “I’ll be careful!”
Inman chimed in, “I’ll train my assistant properly!”
“That’s it! Get back to work, everyone.” Hannah left in her high heels after saying that.
Miya and Alice were discussing the clothes they’d wear to the party as they walked out.
Inman and Estelle returned to their office. Inman comforted Estelle, “Don’t take their words to heart. Don’t worry too much. Honestly, we’re just there to have fun. I don’t even want to go.”
Estelle smiled, “Why’s that?”
Inman looked a bit down, “I have no ideas for the design draft. Clothes are all the same, just with different colors. I’ve designed two styles, but they seem too ordinary. So, I think I can give up on this competition.”
In the office, Inman was on the phone. She gestured for Estelle to leave the drafts on the table.
Inman asked them to wait in the reception room and printed out the design drafts. She quickly gathered her materials and went to meet
the client.
The client was already waiting and approached Inman with a smile when they saw her, “We’re sorry for the rush, but the launch event was moved up, and there’s not much we can do!”
“It’s alright. I already have some design inspiration. Let me show you the rings and necklaces I’ve designed so far?”
Inman showed the drafts to the clients for their approval.
