Carmella’s face reddened, filled with shame. She spoke with remorse, “Yes, I didn’t realize it was Estelle’s design. I thought it belonged to Inman. I only wanted to use it as a reference, I truly meant it as a référence!” 

Simone’s expression underwent a dramatic change, displaying disappointment, embarrassment, and anger. She raised her hand and delivered a resounding slap across Carmella’s face 

“You… you lied to me! I am so disappointed in you!” Simone shouted in anger at Carmella ‘I have invested so much time and money in training you, and yet you resort to something as shameful as plagiarism! You can’t even compare to Esteller 

Carmella covered her face, tears streaming down as she cried, “Mom, I’m sorry!” 

Bennett’s face mirrored shock and heartache. “Carmella, how could you do this?” 

Carmella wept uncontrollably, her face filled with regret. “I know I was wrong, I truly know I was wrong!” 

Estelle observed Carmella’s tearful and remorseful state without an ounce of sympathy. She had already been exposed once within the company, and now she was faced with exposure once again.
