Xavier was chopping meat in the kitchen, frowning as he heard the noise. He said to Zachary, who was next to him, “Why is she so loud?” 

Zachary, wearing a chef’s hat, grinned and replied, “She’s full of energy 

Xavier was about to say something when the curtain was suddenly pulled back, revealing Norah’s cheerful face. “Mr. Flemmings, it’s my friend, hurry up” 

“Alright, alright!” Xavier lazily responded. 

Soon, the dishes Estelle ordered were ready. Norah carried the juice, and Xavier followed behind with the meat and vegetables. 

As they approached, Norah introduced Xavier to Estelle, “This is our Mr. Flemmings!” 

Estelle and Xavier exchanged glances, with Xavier expressing surprise by raising his eyebrows. Estelle responded with a polite smirk, “Hello, Mr. Flemmings!” 

Xavier chuckled softly and playfully remarked as he placed the meat on the table, “So you’re Norah’s friend? Well, that means the bill will be doubled!” 

Norah’s eyes widened, “Why? Instead of giving my friend a discount, are you actually raising the price?” 

Estelle nodded, “Yes, why are you increasing the price for me?” 

With a raspy voice, Xavier replied, “Because I’m the boss, and I make the decisions here! However, this young lady doesn’t have to pay if she wants to stay and become the boss’s wife!* 

Norah instantly became upset, “Are you interested in Estelle just because she’s pretty? I can’t believe you’re that kind of person! And if you’re talking about making her the boss’s wife, why not say queen?” 

“Haha!” Estelle couldn’t contain her laughter. 

Xavier joined in the laughter, “Boss’s wife or queen, either works fine!” 

Annoyed, Norah stomped her foot, ‘Boss, have you gone crazy?” 

Estelle quickly said, “Xavier, stop joking around, Norah will take it seriously!” 

Xavier glanced at Norah, smiling, “How did someone this silly grow up?” 

“What’s going on?” Norah stared, confused, pointing back and forth between Estelle and Xavier. “You two… know each other?” Estelle laughed, “Xavier and I have been friends for a long time!” 

Norah displayed her annoyance by rolling her eyes, placing her hands on her hips, and huffing. “Fine, go ahead and team up against me!” 

“It wasn’t intentional, Xavier was just teasing you!” Estelle intervened, pulling Norah to sit down. 

“Hmph!” Norah remained visibly angry. “That’s going too far!” 

“Can you let it go for my sake?” Estelle smiled, her lips pursed. 

Norah shot Xavier a disapproving look, “Fine, but only because of Estelle!” 

Xavier chuckled, “You two enjoy your meal. I need to attend to some matters in the kitchen. If you need anything, just come in.” 

Norah waved her hand dismissively, “Don’t worry, we’ll make sure to order the most expensive dishes!” 

Xavier laughed, turned and went back. 

Norah poured juice for Estelle, “I was just kidding, eat whatever you want today, it’s on me!” 

Estelle picked up a piece of grilled meat, dipped it in sauce and put it into her mouth, savoring the delicious spicy taste! 

Seeing more customers entering the restaurant, Estelle commented, “The business here is pretty good!” 

“Maybe people think a group of men running a business is reliable, so it’s always crowded,” Norah replied. “I can’t come here every day, they should hire more people! * 

After finishing, Norah remembered to ask Estelle, “How did you 

end up here?” 

Estelle explained, “I was helping out in a film crew, and it happened to be shooting nearby.”
