“Either pay up or take the cake away, it’s up to you!” The woman crossed her arms, turning away to ignore Emily
The people around them were discussing the situation, and it was pretty obvious that the woman on the couch just wanted Emily to pay her
Charle watched with an impassive expression. Seeing Emily in such a miserable state didnt make him feel any better, but rather made him hate her more!
He hated her for betraying him for a mere 500,000, for her greed and shortsightedness!
He suddenly realized that Emily was indeed very money–hungry, working several jobs and eating bread for three days straight just to save money. Since they met, he’d never seen her buy any new clothes
And now, for the sake of a cake, she’s almost about to kneel before that woman!
Indeed, they were never meant to be together!
“Emily!”
Estelle came downstars, asking. “What’s going on?”

“Yes”
Unexpectedly, the woman didn’t want to sell it. She actually wanted the cake too, arguing with Emily was just to get her to pay for half the cost
In this way, she would have bought a Sweet Whispers Bakery cake for half the price.
