“You’re really pushing it, young lady. Delivering takeout in the rain, and now you’re pregnant, you know? You can’t do this anymore!” The nurse warned her while changing her IV

Emily listened with her head down, and then suddenly looked up. “What? Pregnant?”

The nurse looked at her in surprise, “You didn’t know you were pregnant?”

Emily was stunned, looking straight at the nurse, her astonishment gradually turning to panic and fear.

Seeing her expression, the nurse frowned, “Really didn’t know? You’re not married yet, are you?”

She hadn’t even thought about this issue. She thought she had cut off contact with Charlie and would never see him again, but she was actually pregnant. To her, it was like a bolt from the blue!

After the nurse left, Emily lay on the emergency room bed, staring at the ceiling with her eyes wide open.
