Carmella didn’t notice Estelle. She greeted Xaviana with a smile, “Are you guys also having a meal here?”
Xaviana replied excitedly. “Yeah, we’re having a high school reunion”
Carmella laughed, “My parents brought me here for dinner!”
Xaviana had been acquainted with Carmella since their freshman year of high school Carmella possessed beauty, remarkable academic prowess, and an impressive range of talents. She held a prominent position in the student council, earning her a reputation as a high achiever Subsequently, Xaviana joined the council as well, becoming an ardent admirer of Carmella.

Carmella replied modestly, “Just getting started”
“That’s really cool!”
Carmella asked, “Where are you studying?”
“At Crestmont College!”

After a brief chat. Xaviana blurted out, “Carmella, we also invited Estelle for our class reunion, but she didn’t come!”
Estelle who was about to leave, heard the odd tone in the conversation and decided to lean against the doorframe.
“Is that so?” Carmella replied nonchalantly
Xaviana asked cunously, “Carmella, is Estelle still bothering your family? We couldn’t stand up to her back then, and sorry we couldn’t have your back!”
Carmella laughed it off, “It’s okay, it’s been so long!”
Estelle straightened up. “You were scared when I returned to the Macclain family, right? You knew Xaviana was jealous of me because of that boy. So you instigated them to ambush me on the road. Then, after the fight, I was rejected by Simone and fell right into your trap!”
Carmella’s expression changed. She took a step back and stared at Estelle.
“Your family sponsored my education. But I was ungrateful and tried to take your place in the Macclain family. That’s what you told Xaviana and the others, right?”
Carmella’s face turned pale, ‘I have no idea what you’re talking about!”
Estelle stepped forward, grabbing Carmella’s collar, “I hit Xaviana that year. But you were the one I should have hit. Shall I make up for it now?”
Upon her initial return to the Macclain family, Carmella showered her with kindness. She gifted her new clothes and treats, which garnered immense praise from Simone and Bennett.
Back then, she even had thought of Carmella an innocent little girl.
