Estelle’s eyes fluttered open, and after a brief pause, she began recounting. “There was a time when I took on a unique assignment, going undercover for a man known as ‘Wolverine. He operated his own island near Frosty Island, where he conducted gruesome experiments using living individuals to develop blological weapons. I worked for him for three months, successfully gaining control of the island’s defense system. Eventually, my brother and I assembled a crew, and together we demolished the entire island. All of his research and the modified individuals met their fate, sinking to the depths of the ocean.”

“Wolverine got lucky and escaped, but he remembered me. A year later, he bribed my brother’s guys and set up an ambush for me and my team during a mission.”

“He wanted to kill me, but it was Wolf and the others who died!”

Magdalen got it, “So you and Xavier survived?”

“Yes!” Estelle said emotionlessly, “Xavier and I left the organization after that.”

“What did Xavier mean when he called, has Wolverine found out you’re still alive and he’s out for revenge?”Magdalen frowned.

“No!” Estelle said softly, “I’m the one hunting him!”

The one who betrayed her and her brother is dead, but Wolverine is still alive.

She’ll kill Wolverine with her own hands, to avenge Wolf and the others!

That’s why she’s still alive!

J City, Midnight Bar

Jonathan was sitting on the sofa, scrolling through his chat with Estelle.

Yvonne brought a plate of fruit over, smiling, “Charlie and them said they’re going to the Country of N on the second day of Lunar New Year, then head to the Country of S to go skiing. They’ve got it all planned out.”

Jonathan looked at his phone, responded flatly, “You guys go ahead, I’ve got other plans.”

A flicker of disappointment crossed Yvonne’s eyes, “What plans? Are you going to hang out with Estelle?”

“Yes.” Jonathan simply affirmed, then got up and walked towards the balcony.!

Unable to suppress her disappointment, Yvonne picked up her drink and downed half of it, then followed him. She leaned against the railings on the balcony, turned to look at him, “Are you avoiding me?”

In his heart, she’s no different from any other women.

Estelle should be his only special one!

Amiee got some stuff from the supermarket, was on her way back when she got a call from Mrs. Jordan, “Amiee, when are you planning to come home?”

“Tomorrow afternoon.”Amiee’s voice was cold.

Mrs. Jordan hesitated, then finally said, “No matter what your father and I are going through, it won’t affect our love for you, you know that, right?”

Amiee didn’t respond.
