Estelle looked embarrassed. “Why are you suddenly talking about having babies?“,

Jonathan stared at her earnestly. “Well, we’ll have kids when we’re married, and we’re gonna have at least three.”

Estelle’s eyes widened!

Jonathan’s eyes were full of tenderness and amusement. He gently patted her head. “Don’t worry, I’ll foot the bill!” Estelle rolled her eyes at him. “You’re getting ahead of yourself!”

“Not at all, maybe by this time next year, we’ll have our own little munchkin!” Jonathan said.

Estelle couldn’t help but laugh, her eyes twinkling in the light. “That fast? What do you think we are, rabbits?”

“Starting from tonight!”

Estelle found his comments increasingly outrageous. She decided to ignore him, pinched the rabbit’s ear and got up to leave, “I’m heading back!”

Jonathan took her hand, leading her towards their room.

Suddenly, the little rabbit chased after them. Estelle looked back and saw the bunny staring at her while the other one had already turned its back and hopped into the shadow of the trees, disappearing.

Estelle felt a sudden throb in her heart, an inexplicable tension.

“What’s up?” Jonathan asked.

“Nothing!” Estelle shook her head, holding Jonathan’s hand tightly.

The next afternoon, the weather was clear. Yvonne was helping Cathrine arrange flowers in the flower room.

She put some red flowers in a vase, but found it monotonous, so she added a couple of other flowers. She asked Cathrine, “Do you think it looks good?”

Cathrine took a look and smiled. “It’s beautiful!”

She looked at Yvonne with a hint of implication, poured her a cup of tea, and laughed, “Did you know Jonathan has a girlfriend?”

The man was dressed in light gray sportswear, tall and slim. His face was handsome under the sun, causing people to take a second look.

Cathrine noticed Yvonne was staring at Jonathan. She sighed slightly and smiled. “You go chat with Jonathan. I’ll go back.”

Yvonne nodded, “Okay, I’ll come find you later!”

“No rush!” Cathrine smiled and left.

Yvonne slowly walked toward Jonathan. She stood behind him for a while until he noticed and looked back. She then approached him. “Jonathan!”

Jonathan grunted in response, as aloof as ever.

“You’re bringing Estelle home to meet your parents?” Yvonne asked directly.

Jonathan was calm. “What’s wrong?”

Yvonne sounded a bit desperate. “You really want to marry Estelle; do you even know her? She’s not as simple as you think!”
