Chapter 90

Estelle had already walked to the foyer, changed her shoes, and turned back to say goodbye, “Mr. Lamont, Henson, see ya.”

Henson watched Estelle leave and turned to say. “Uncle, my dad’s birthday is coming up, and I picked a gift for him. I want you to take a look at it.”

Jonathan nodded, “You go ahead, I’ll go find you in a bit.”

“Better hurry!” Henson glanced at Lucille and headed upstairs.

Jonathan walked towards the living room and asked casually, “What’s the matter?”

Lucille frowned. “Jonathan, don’t you think Estelle and Henson are getting too close?”

Jonathan sat on the couch with a distant and indifferent look, “What’s the problem?”

“Of course, there’s a problem!” Lucille sat across from him, looking serious, “My uncle’s tutor deliberately flattered Hailey to raise her salary and ended up getting fired. Even professional tutoring companies have rules forbidding tutors from getting too close to their students, and that’s for a reason!”

Jonathan didn’t give a damn, “Estelle knows where to draw the line.”

Lucille scoffed, “I think Henson’s taking her side. Don’t be fooled by her innocent appearance, she’s not that innocent at all!”

Jonathan’s eyes darkened slightly. “Does it have anything to do with you?”

Lucille’s face turned pale, she spoke sarcastically, “Yeah, it doesn’t concern me. It’s just my own wishful thinking! You like that female student? What about Yvonne?”

Jonathan’s eyes turned cold, he stood up and stared at Lucille, “If you’ve got too much time on your hands, do something more important than worrying about what you shouldn’t! And, don’t come to my house without my permission in the future!”

After that, he turned and went upstairs without giving Lucille another glance

Tears welled up in Lucille’s eyes. She knew she shouldn’t have mentioned Yvonne, it was a momentary burst of anger, and now it was too late to regret it.

She needed to find out what was going on between Estelle and Jonathan!

When the driver dropped Estelle off at the University of J City, she received a phone call from Isis.

Isis invited her to go shopping, fearing Estelle might refuse, she explained, “My cousin’s getting married next week, and I want to pick a dress. Can you come with me? I’ll buy you two ice creams, how about that?”

Her eyes slightly narrowed, a high–scale Adidas shoe couldn’t compare to the price of a designer necklace, but buying a fake designer necklace for his girlfriend while getting himself limited edition Adidas shoes was disgusting!

Moreover, Norah said Nicolas was of ordinary family background, how could he afford such expensive shoes?

“Estelle Isis ran over with the ice cream, “What are you doing here? Wanna buy some shoes?”

“Nope, just browsing Estelle walked out with Isis, asking, “Do you know Nicolas? What’s he like?” 

“Which Nicolas?‘ Isis asked

“The one from Foreign Languages Department.”

Isis thought for a moment, ‘Oh, that guy I haven’t had much contact with him, so I don’t know much”

She looked at Estelle playfully, “Why, you’re interested in him? He already has a girlfriend, and they’re very much in love You don’t stand a chance!”

“Is his girlfriend Norah?” Estelle asked
