Estelle instinctively closed her eyes, her eyelashes trembling slightly.

The man’s lips trailed down her brows and the corners of her eyes, lingering on her cherry–pink lips for a moment before he held her in his lap and kissed her deeply. He tasted the strawberry sweetness deep in her lips, while Estelle savored the taste of wine, mellow and rich, intoxicating.

In a daze, Estelle suddenly remembered what Lucille didn’t finish saying today at the Lamont family gathering who was the person in Jonathan’s heart?

Could someone like him also have unattainable desires?

Inside a VIP room, Emily was sitting on the couch, reading a book when she heard Noreen calling from the other room, “Emily, I want to eat an orange, can you cut

one for me?”

“Okay,” Emily responded casually, getting up to cut an orange

Noreen was her cousin. Her uncle’s family was wealthy and had always looked down on them.

This time when Noreen got injured, Emily’s mother insisted on taking care of Noreen herself, hoping that her uncle would help her and her brother in the future since

Emily didn’t care for it, but she didn’t want her mother to be ordered around by Noreen, so she had to take care of her herself.

Not knowing where to look, Emily awkwardly said, “You guys chat, I’ll go boil some water.”

She grabbed the kettle and rushed out.

Charlie held Noreen on the couch, comforting her gently for a few moments before handing her a box from GK Jewelry Studio, “Do you like it?”

Noreen pouted happily, “Is this supposed to make up for everything?” 

Charlie smiled lightly, “No, it’s a breakup gift”

Noreens smile froze instantly, “What do you mean?”

Charlie still smiled, but there was no trace of warmth in his charming eyes, “When you’re with me, are you short of money or jewelry? You have to wear that piece of trashy emerald from Baber around your neck to show off Is my girlfriend really that cheap?”

Noreens face turned pale in an instant, her body trembling gently. She became flustered and frightened, quickly trying to grab Charbe’s hand, “Charlie, I’m sorry, I know I was wrong, give me another chancel”

Charlie stood up, looking down at her coldly. “Everyone who’s with me knows that once I’ve said it was over, there’s no turning back. I haven’t treated you badly these last few months, so let’s peacefully part ways”
