Manley scoffed, "Are we scared of Jonathan?"

"Fear and hostility are two different things!" Mr. Scott snapped, "I can't even get in touch with Jonathan. It was Charlie who passed on the message, told me to keep you away from Estelle!"

Manley snickered, "Jonathan thinks he can control everyone. Tell him that Estelle has nothing to do with him anymore. He has no say in who Estelle is with!"

With that, Manley hung up immediately.

Mr. Scott called back, but Manley hung up again, then turned off his phone.

His gaze was icy, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. Was Jonathan getting anxious?

There would be more anxious times for him!

He turned to find Estelle, standing behind a sea of begonia trees. He saw Amiee and Josiah talking with Estelle from a distance. Estelle had a relaxed smile on her face, he couldn't bear to interrupt.

He stood for a while, then turned and left, letting Estelle chat with her friends first. He had some business to take care of.

Later, Manley returned to the mansion and had dinner with Estelle. Estelle didn't need the servants, as she always managed to pick what she wanted to eat, showing no signs of discomfort.

Manley pushed the fish in front of her, chuckling, "Be a good girl, Estelle, and take your medicine after dinner."

Estelle glanced at Manley, frowning, "Watch your mouth."

"What's wrong?" Manley laughed, "Even when you're mad, you're cute."

Estelle was silent for a moment.

Manley put a piece of fish in her bowl, casually saying, "No, really. It's just normal business competition. It has nothing to do with you."

"But I can't stay here forever." Estelle said calmly, "My wounds are almost healed."

"Where do you want to go? Who else has the leisure time to take care of you? Magdalen and Xavier are all very busy. Only someone like me, who is rich and idle, can take care of you." Manley squinted his eyes and smiled, "Just let me take care of you alone, don't bother them, okay?"

He kept staring at her. After all, she couldn't see him, so he could boldly observe every detail of her face. The more he looked, the more he liked her. Every detail of her face fully met his aesthetic standards!

Estelle said, "I can take care of myself."
