The next morning, on his way to school, Henson received a call from Janice Harper.

With a gentle tone, Janice asked, "Have you finished school?"

"Almost home!" Henson replied.

In a soft voice, Janice instructed, "Mom and Dad won't be back for a few days, and neither will the grandparents. So, you have to listen to your uncle."

"I know, I'm not a kid anymore, don't worry about me," Henson explained.

Janice chuckled, "Isn't there an exam tomorrow? Don't stress out!"

"Such a minor exam, I'm not even breaking a sweat!" Henson confidently said.

"That's good. Take care of yourself and your sister."

"Sure, you take care of yourself and Dad too!"

After hanging up, Henson looked out the car window, thinking about the exam tomorrow, and suddenly remembered something.

In the afternoon, after finishing her work, Estelle's new assistant ran over with her phone, "Estelle, your phone has rung twice."

Estelle took the phone, saw it was Ms. Simmons, and immediately answered, "Ms. Simmons, what's up?"

Ms. Simmons sounded panicked, "Estelle, Kya has a fever after her nap. I tried calling Kya's mom but she's not picking up. Should I take her to the hospital?"

"Sure, take Kya to the hospital. I'll be there soon!" Estelle quickly replied.

"Okay!" Ms. Simmons said.

Estelle hastily asked Mr. Tucker for leave and drove to the hospital.

As Ms. Simmons took Kya in a cab to the hospital, Estelle was already on her way. She tried calling Emily again, but still, no answer.

Estelle nodded, "Thank you."

While they were talking, Ms. Simmons and the doctor walked in. Estelle immediately asked, "Doctor, what's the situation with Kya?"

The doctor said, "The results haven't come out yet. I'll prescribe some antipyretics to bring down the child's fever. We'll decide on the treatment based on the results."

Estelle nodded, "Okay."

Ms. Simmons looked worried, "I still can't get through to Kya's mom."

"It's okay, I'll contact her later," Estelle said.

"Thank god we ran into this gentleman!" Ms. Simmons looked at Charlie.

"We're friends," Estelle explained.

"No wonder!" Ms. Simmons gratefully smiled at Charlie, feeling more assured now that Estelle was here, "Estelle, watch Kya. I'll go get the medicine!"
