Chapter 205
Maru
I leaned my head against Grayson’s shoulder, instinctively seeking the comfort I once found in the arms of the Miller brothers. My wolf Telt a strange sense of peace in his embrace.
“Thank you, Grayson,” I whispered, my voice thick with emotion.
He gently ruffled my hair, his touch light and tender, as if I were a precious piece of moonstone.“Come on, let’s go home, he murmured, his voice a low rumble of warmth.
I sniffled, wiping my nose, and nodded eagerly, “Okay!”
The scent of sandalwood, warm and inviting, enveloped me as I stepped inside the den. The butler approached quickly, his expression serious. He held Grayson’s comms–slate.
“Young Master, the Miller Pack has contacted you.
Emily wishes to challenge Miss Miller.”
Grayson took the slate, his brow rising slightly.
A playful smirk touched his lips. He didn’t avoid me, but casually took the slate and connected the call.
Andrew’s voice, tight with barely controlled rage, filled the den.
“Our Miller Pack is launching another live design challenge against Isabella. This time, we’ll definitively prove who the true plagiarist

I listened, my brows furrowing slightly.

Grayson settled onto a cushioned rock, a hint of amusement in his tone.“Really? You took a tumble, and now you’re scrambling for another fall?
Seeking further humiliation? Want to make a fool of yourself again?”
Andrew’s voice choked with fury at Grayson’s words.“Grayson, you set me up. I, Andrew, will not forget this debt, and I will repay you! This time, my sister, Emily, will compete!”
His confidence was palpable, his wolf’s scent reeking of certainty.
Just because your sister wants to compete doesn’t mean mine has to accept. Perhaps my sister’s time is better spent elsewhere,” Grayson retorted, his voice laced with irritation. My wolf felt a surge of pride; he was protecting me.
Andrew’s annoyance was evident.
He resented me intensely, even more so now that I’d become Grayson’s sister.
“Are you afraid to accept?” Andrew hissed, the words barely audible.
“No,” Grayson replied smoothly.
Andrew, unaware he was being recorded, had been waiting for that denial. He smiled cruelly on the other end of the comms–slate. Then Grayson added, his tone changing, “It’s not fear.
