Chapter 206
“What? Am I right?” Grayson’s smirk was cold, dismissive, as if he’d seen through Andrew’s every intention. His voice dripped with
contempt.
His woll’s scent was sharp, a clear warning. Andrew’s face darkened, his already grim expression hardening further as he struggled to contain his fury.
Before Andrew could speak, Grayson continued, his voice slow and measured.
“You want to challenge my sister? Fine. First, issue a public statements if Emily loses, she can cry, whine, whatever. The Miller Pack takes full responsibility. Don’t come crawling later, claiming my sister bullied her, or attempting to use some moral high ground.” “You!” Andrew sputtered, his temples throbbing. His wolf’s scent was thick with rage.“Grayson, don’t push this!”
Grayson chuckled, his tone casual but commanding.“Pushing it? I haven’t even begun. And hey, there needs to be something at stake, right? No one plays for free.”
Andrew’s rage flared. His mouth was dry, his voice a low growl.“I didn’t make things difficult for Isabella when she challenged Ruby!”
Grayson’s tone turned icy, laced with mock innocence.“That’s natural.
Besides, I didn’t ask you to accept the challenge.
It was you, Mr. Miller, who insisted on sending someone to lose.”
Andrew felt a sharp blow to his chest, his blood surging.
He nearly choked on his own fury.
Hadn’t he been forced into it? Public opinion was already turning; how could he refuse?
And those rumors… they were all Grayson’s doing, weren’t they?
His wolf snarled in frustration and betrayal.
The air crackled with tension, thick and suffocating. Grayson’s fingers idly traced the surface of his comms–slate, a sly smile playing on his lips.
On the other end, Andrew’s voice was frigid.“What are the stakes?”
“That’s right,” Grayson said cheerfully.“Stakes make things interesting.” He turned to me, his eyes softening instantly.“Isabella, what do you want?”
I’d already decided.
“My share of the Miller Pack’s holdings–what’s rightfully mine.”
“Isabella, you’ve left the Miller family. Why should you get any shares?!” Andrew’s voice exploded, making the comms–slate buzz.
I raised an eyebrow, a mocking smile playing on my lips.“What? Mr. Miller, you think your precious sister will lose?”
My tone was light, teasing.
“Ha!” Andrew scoffed, his voice laced with disdain and overconfidence. “Isabella, you’re siding with Grayson! You want to help him take over Miller’s! You want to devour the Miller Pack for him!”

I sighed dramatically, feigning regret. “Mr. Miller, that hurts. You lack confidence in your precious sister?
Afraid she’ll lose? My wolf felt a surge of amusement; his arrogance was his downfall.
