Chapter 207
Andrew’s silence hung heavy: his wolf snarled, refuming to admit his doubt in Emily, his pride a bruised alpha’s ego.
My own woll, sleek and confident, chuckled, a low rumble in my chest.
“Besides, Andrew, losing face isn’t an option for an alpha like you!” I sneered, my dominance radiating.
He was speechless; Miller’s reputation, already tarnished, couldn’t bear another blow,
And yet, his wolf still clung to the hope that Emily, his chosen luna, would prevail.
“If we win,” Andrew growled, his voice tight with suppressed rage, “what does your family offer?”
His wolf’s cunning was sharp, sensing a chance to benefit his pack.“Equal shares of Smith’s territory.”
His plan was clear—refusal would paint me as fearful. My wolf let out a low snarl of amusement.
I scoffed, my tone dripping sarcasm.
“Mr. Miller, are you still dreaming?
I want my birthright- the return of my rightful lands!
You’re shameless, demanding what isn’t yours!”
“You!” Andrew’s face darkened, his wolf’s fury practically vibrating off him.
His temples throbbed; a low growl escaped him. “Isabella!
Don’t push your luck!”
“Push my luck?” My voice was glacial.
“I’m simply reclaiming what’s mine.
Can’t handle that?
Pathetic.”
His wolf was stunned; I was no longer the submissive pup he could manipulate. I offered my bait, my tone casual but laced with unwavering confidence.
“Since there’s a challenge, both sides must wager. If I lose, I’ll relinquish my claim, handing it willingly to Emily.”
“Deal!” Andrew’s teeth gritted. His wolf saw an opportunity to strip me of my inheritance, something his pride had prevented him from doing directly. Now it was presented to him on a silver platter. His wolf was certain Emily would win; my offer, a mere bluff.
My tone lightened.
“Deal. Let me know the date of the Howlnet broadcast; I’ll be there.”
I almost ended the call, but Andrew’s desperate voice cut through, laced with frustration and a last–ditch attempt at leverage.
“Wait!”
I raised a skeptical eyebrow.“What is it?”
“Your fifth brother…”
