Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 455

Lottie, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up.

Damien frowned at her.

Even though the DNA was confirmed, he was still wary of this suddenly-appeared sister, especially since this whole mess had started because of her.

“What do you want?” Damien’s tone was sharp.

Lottie stood up and straightened her slightly rumpled dress.

“Mr. Clarke, if you take down the trending topics now, it will only make people think we have something to hide.”

Lottie walked up to Damien, fearlessly meeting the gaze of the most feared man in the city.

“They’re saying I accused my sister of being cold-blooded, right? That I want a piece of the family fortune?”

Lottie smiled.

A wild, uninhibited smile.

“Tomorrow just so happens to be the opening of my art show, and there’s a press conference scheduled.”

“Since he’s already set the stage, wouldn’t it be a shame if I didn’t get up there and put on a show?”

Grace grabbed Lottie’s hand, worried. “Sis, what are you planning to do? Those reporters are relentless.”

“Relentless?”

Lottie squeezed Grace’s cold fingers in return.

“Grace, remember this.”

“In all my years abroad, before I learned how to paint, I first learned how to fight.”

“Tomorrow, I’m going to show everyone who the truly cold-blooded one is.”

The next day, at the Contemporary Art Museum.

What was supposed to be a major event in the art world had turned into the city’s most watched spectacle, all thanks to yesterday’s sudden internet storm.

The entrance to the gallery was completely mobbed.

Cameras and microphones were set up everywhere. Tabloid reporters, paparazzi, and influencers swarmed the entrance like sharks smelling blood, shoving and pushing to get inside.

Grace, who was walking behind Lottie, flinched instinctively.

She had come to support her sister, and although Damien had arranged for dozens of bodyguards to form a human wall, the visceral fear of facing this kind of public condemnation still made her feel like she was suffocating.

Lottie didn’t look back. She just squeezed Grace’s hand tighter, as if trying to transfer all her strength to her.

“Don’t you dare lower your head.”

Lottie’s voice was quiet but resolute.

“Grace, you have done nothing wrong.”

“Lift your head.”

Grace took a deep breath.

She was right.

She had her sister, she had Damien, and she had Gianna.

The power was in her hands now. Why should she be afraid?
